Hadn’t watched any of the others, but a friend invited me over and watch the first hour. Trump did well and more importantly the issues discussed early, 2nd amend, Immigration, trade, economy are made for his position. He’s not the best at debate per se, but he made good points and Chris Wallace did a good job of keeping them between the lines and focused on the topic pretty well with injecting a personal bias or agenda. Don’t know if the last 30 went the same, but given the structure of the event, this is a pretty good representation of the two candidates. Now we’ll have a sprint to the finish with some twists and turns. We’re still lucky to live in this country and have the opportunity to accept or reject the person that heads the government. Let’s hope the result is one we can survive.

Well let’s found it and substantiate it, too late for the debate I guess but there ya go…on tonight’s Tampa Channel 8 NBC affiliate 6 PM news (locally a more centrist presentation than most), there’s a story about a US citizen and resident from Puerto Rico. Now all Puerto Ricans are citizens but not all are residents, and while the non-residents can vote in primaries they can’t vote in the general election. And of course they come and go as they please. So this citizen PR reports that his relatives have been bragging that they will vote in Florida and they will vote Hillz, of course…if you read her position on PR you’ll know why. But that’s irrelevant because they’re not allowed to vote!
In Florida you are “required” to show government photo ID to prove residency and vote, but hey if you don’t have one handy just give us the last four digits of your SS number (what the hell is this a credit card verification system or a fucking federal election?) and an address and cast your vote. And of course all PR’s have SS cards because they are citizens and they have to have it for benefits, donchaknow. So the citizen relative of these criminals contacts the Pinellas County supervisor of elections and they say, nothing we can do. He contacts the federal election commission and they say we don’t have any evidence of this occurring on any wide scale (where have we heard THAT before). Of course if you don’t take the report you don’t have any evidence and if you don’t check it out there’s nothing you can do, and it’s just so much easier that way, and so much better for the “cause”. Is that not a rigged election, when unqualified voters who are guaranteed to vote a certain way are not stopped or challenged by the bureaucrats whose effing job that is??

It seems to me that there is one obstacle that, when recognized, Hillary can not surmount. She should not have a security clearance.
In her FBI testimony about her emails, she said “I do not recall,” some 19 times. She did not recall being trained in the handling and safeguarding of classified materials when she became Secretary of State, even though she signed and dated a certificate stating she had received said training. She did not recall her required annual refresher training in years 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2005, even though she had signed a statement each year. She did not recall receiving training in proper handling and security of classified material as part of her exit briefing when she left the state department, even though she signed a certificate. FBI Director Comey said her handling of classified material was extremely careless.
If you believe her, that she couldn’t recall all of this training, then a person so senile should not be trusted with a security clearance; if you believe she was lying, then her dishonesty and carelessness are grounds for denying her a security clearance.
Any person who cannot have a security clearance cannot be trusted with the security of the United States. All other arguments are beside the point.

From 30+ years with a high level security clearance and acute awareness of the classification hierarchy, we all need to know that the president is THE original classification authority, and that classification authority is delegated to various others at certain levels. For instance the Sec Of State has this authority up to the Top Secret level ( e.g. see Obama’s Executive Order 13526). Other presidents issued similar EOs. So, essentially, she can grant herself a clearance. She also should have as SoS known of the classification of anything in the State Dept, as she is the one who would write or approve of the relevant classification guides.
Her multiple “I don’t remembers” is only to avoid admitting to what she did know (or should have known) was a crime.
She may want to dump the 2nd but she sure loves her some 5th.

It seems to me that there is one obstacle that, when recognized, Hillary can not surmount. She should not have a security clearance.
In her FBI testimony about her emails, she said “I do not recall,” some 19 times. She did not recall being trained in the handling and safeguarding of classified materials when she became Secretary of State, even though she signed and dated a certificate stating she had received said training. She did not recall her required annual refresher training in years 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2005, even though she had signed a statement each year. She did not recall receiving training in proper handling and security of classified material as part of her exit briefing when she left the state department, even though she signed a certificate. FBI Director Comey said her handling of classified material was extremely careless.
If you believe her, that she couldn’t recall all of this training, then a person so senile should not be trusted with a security clearance; if you believe she was lying, then her dishonesty and carelessness are grounds for denying her a security clearance.
Any person who cannot have a security clearance cannot be trusted with the security of the United States. All other arguments are beside the point.
From 30+ years with a high level security clearance and acute awareness of the classification hierarchy, we all need to know that the president is THE original classification authority, and that classification authority is delegated to various others at certain levels. For instance the Sec Of State has this authority up to the Top Secret level ( e.g. see Obama’s Executive Order 13526). Other presidents issued similar EOs. So, essentially, she can grant herself a clearance. She also should have as SoS known of the classification of anything in the State Dept, as she is the one who would write or approve of the relevant classification guides.
Her multiple “I don’t remembers” is only to avoid admitting to what she did know (or should have known) was a crime.
She may want to dump the 2nd but she sure loves her some 5th.
