It’s going to take a major shake-up inside the beltway to get the gummint back to where it can begin to get people to start trusting it.

Shake-up … and pare-down. Too many people’s livelihood depends on doing well (for various values of “well”) things that don’t need doin’ at all… You have to cut many positions to make any net difference in attitudes, and that puts the current holders of those positions in a corner. Expect a lot of hurt and hate before we get to a stable, smaller govt.

Actually if one looks at the historical record, the alphabet agencies have been pillaging our Republic for nearly a century. Their excesses simply have been increasingly accelerated as the progs’ hostility to individual responsibility found growing numbers of overtly disingenuous power-mad political figures, the current feckless fraud and its fellow travelers the worst yet.
We said the same thing after Clinton and Janet Reno.

Give me Slick Willie anytime; he was content to get his willie further slicked under the desk and let the curative powers of the bitter potent medicine administered by Dr. Ronnie work its magic. Compared to the dark and inherent evil embodied by the 0 he was a patriot.
His horribly significant other, OTOH, might have us pining for the good old days of the zero administration.

“Darkness worshed over the federales. Darker than a black steer’s tucus on a moonless prairie night.”
Wade-Practical, efficient and a sense of humor in protecting his family, home and country.
I was going to say grab and twist by the short and curly, but with most of them, a person doesn’t know where they’ve been (EWW factor) and if it’s curable.

Well, they could always transfer all those extra (excess) BATF and IRS “enforcement agents” over to border patrol to actually patrol on the border.

Kevin for the WIN.
Kevin does have a way with words…
just a minor quibble: “tuchus” (Yiddish for “ass” or “butt”)
Notice how Kevin M spells “worshed”. That’s one of my tipoffs to a correct pronunciation of the English language.
One must admit, sneaky works.
