Wait?!?! . . . .What?!?! . . . I feel like I missed something.
Yesterday was dinner prep. Today is after dinner.
What happened in between? I wanted to see the interaction (if any) between the sheriff and Skye. And Skye’s reaction to eating rattlesnake chili.

They’re talking like dinner hasn’t been served yet, and the non-locals are “bailing!”

Chris, Thank you.
To Jan and Kimiko, all I can say to you (with a smile) is “cowards”. 😉
From your post yesterday. The phrase is not “tinkers damn” but “tinkers dam.” A tinker was an itinerant handy man. When a pot had a hole worn through it, the tinker made a clay containment around the hole and then poured molten metal into the containment. Then the metal was filed smooth top and bottom and the pot was restored to use.

From this self-admitted, occasional “picky pedant”, thanks for the informative clarification. One of the many things to appreciate about Chris’ strip is its informed commentariat that can “cut the muster”. 😉

“Luciano’s given both cars to your new business”.
Both cars? Would these be the former BAT-FEces/DHS seized cars? And if so, how did Luciano gain title?
Your new business? What new business?
Would all of the above have something to do with Luciano’s status as ambassador?
I feel like Rip Van Winkle.

…and don’t feel bad B Woodman – the strip has been jumping around like a cricket on speed the last couple of days… I’m sure Chris will sort it out in the end.

Tesla blocked from selling autos directly to the customer. Such is the “state” of crony capitalism (see what I did there?). And part of the cause and effect of out current gubbment and economy.

Couple Escalade huntin’ buggies…nice, and not eco-friendly, also nice. But GM is still Gov Motors to me; surprised Zed doesn’t feel the same…but hey, the price was right.

Shooting hawgs from the sunroof of an SUV. Life is good.
Might have to do it at night to find their nesting site, though.
So long as the hawgs are feral from european stock, they should make good eating. Ummmmmm. . . . . bacon.

Mildly surprised about Kimiko’s comment on snake chili. Japanese cuisine, like Scottish cuisine, is partially based on local ingredients well prepared and, partially, on a couple of six year old boys saying, “I dare you to eat that.” Like both cuisines, however some dishes better than others.

God cleansed the snake from the curse in Acts 10. Peter fell into a trance wherein a great sheet was lowered out of heaven. All the critters, creeping ones, too, were on it. God told Peter to kill and eat. Yet people are still repelled at the thought of eating snakes. Go figure.
What real snake, Bill G? I thought that they drove the feds off for good.

I think it was a clever ruse to spare the Sheriff a hookup with Skye…
