Brewster County is a county located in the western part of the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2010 census, the population was 9,232. Its county seat and only city is Alpine. The county is named for Colonel Henry Percy Brewster, a Secretary of War for the Republic of Texas.
Brewster County is the largest county by area in the state, over three times the size of the state of Delaware, and more than 500 square miles (1,300 km2) bigger than Connecticut.

Off by a factor of three, roughly. Texas is 280,000 square miles. 8 billion people in groups of 4 is 2 billion houses. At a quarter acre each that’s 500,000,000 (500 million) acres. There are 640 acres in a square mile, so you need about 781,000 square miles.
Pretty close. With an assumed 6 billion people on the planet you get this:
640 acres = 1 square mile
4 people per ¼ acre = 10,240 people per square mile
6 billion divided by 10,240 = 585,937 square miles
Texas = 268,820 square miles
So, a little more than twice the size of Texas can comfortably fit the entire world population while leaving the rest of the world human-free.
So, yeah… global over population is a big fat lie.
So, the most recent global population estimate is 7.3 Gigs, but as to what constitutes “over population”, the pertinent question is how many of that number are independent as opposed to dependent, defined by any of a number of objective parameters. Well we know that right here in the formerly good ol’ USA it’s a ratio of about 53/47. Recent world events would indicate the percentage is much worse elsewhere, but let’s be generous (heh), and say it’s about 50/50.
So by that measure, yeah, over-population by about 3.65 billion. Or we could just say kill off the ones who hate and want to kill us. So, ummm…yeah ’bout 3.65 billion should do it.
Boutbut loosely meaning the ratio of independents willing and able to carry dependents.
Too many are liberals and radical Islamists. So, yes!

Texas is big, but it’s subdivided into over two hundred counties so they will tend on average to be small. There are some bigger ones in the West (as you note) but they are far from being the biggest in the US.
There are much bigger counties in other states, with the largest (excepting some Alaska Boroughs and Census areas, not “counties” but still subdivisions) being San Bernardino County in California, population over two million and its area 20,105 square miles, it’s bigger than nine states, it’s bigger than the smallest four states put together. The smallest state that’s still bigger than San Bernardino CA is West Virginia.
The downside is, it’s in the PRK, and it’s basically all steenkin’ desert, even more desolate than West Texas, except for about 500 square miles in the far southwest, which is basically sprawlover from Los Angeles, the Great Cancer. That area contains the vast majority of the population.
It’s not hard to beat out Rhode Island and Delaware, both are smaller than El Paso County which is a medium-sized county in Colorado (an obscure-sounding, not to say misplaced-sounding, name, but it’s the county Colorado Springs is located in). (I call RI and DE the “joke states” as a consequence, Biden just adds to it for Delawere.)

Romney was right about a lot of things….if he had attacked like a pit bull in the last debate, he might’ve been elected….but he let the muslim in chief off the hook…too bad for the other 53%, half of which didn’t bother to vote at all….yeah, that’ll show em’….”I don’t like our Republican candidate so I just won’t vote”….bravo….sarc off….

My sainted mother used to say, “everybody takes his own hide to the tanner”. Our “enlightened elite”‘, regardless of “party affiliation” or “espoused philosophy”, reject this in toto.
They believe that there’s always somebody else they can blame when things go wrong. The usual choice being somebody they dislike on general principles who can’t hit back. Hence “bitter clingers”, etc.
Which means that no matter which “side” they are supposedly on, they don’t see the world very differently. And when their plans don’t work, it’s the world’s fault for not marching in step or “holding its mouth right”.
Kipling got it right, but most of them either don’t read him, have never heard of him, or consider him one of those DWEMs who needs to be erased from the memory of society in the name of not upsetting anybody;
I’ve pointed the poem out to liberals many times. They just dismiss it as the work of a racist — displaying their ignorance of him and lack of commonsense.

I believe that 47+% is “paid” in one way or another by govt give away of tax payer money. They are going with whoever promises them the most benefit.
