I’m also tempted to say, “Not after Iowa”, but after the Republican party behavior over the last couple of decades I’m fairly sure a large number of Republicans will vote for a Democrat rather than vote for Cruz.

Note that Ted will be flambeed by the GOP Rinos. IF they can’t have Rubio they will take winDsock. He is more pliable. As to cankles she should get classes in air dancing.
BQ, any American who votes for either of those commies should be charged with treason. And I do think there’s going to be a big party shakeup after this election; it’s not just RINO’s but the whole establishment organization that is having their ass handed to them by Trump and Cruz. Either (or both), once in office, will proceed to dismantle and rebuild the old party and make it grand once again.
But they should be careful before counting up their delegates and going after each other too much, they’re going to need each other to get that job done, and there are positions waiting for several of the also-rans to get it done. It would behoove all to remember that the “winner” in the rather disconnected place that is Iowa in ’08 and ’12 were guys named Huckabee and Santorum, for much the same reason as Ted won there the other night.

I think the future is perilous for the democratic party. To us there is little difference between Bernie and Hillary but the dems….well they see things differently. Those differences on gun control, accountability, and character could split the democratic party. The factions of the GOP have more in common with each other than they have differences.

Foment the Black/Mexican friction by telling Blacks the Mexicans are taking their welfare. After all, Dems are the ones promoting a zero sum game here.
so, we should do everything we can to encourage the split. they do it to us. let them fight each other until they have expended all of their capital and manpower, then leave them barely able to function. we need them at least to act as a bad example.
And when the candidates who are not in the top 3 bow out and throw their support and supporters to Rubio, we just might end up with a White Hispanic Obama replacing the White Black Obama.
Sort of like vomiting into the toilet after taking a dump.
Not a chance. Precious few Trump supporters would even consider Rubio.
I know I would rather have all my fingernails pulled than switch to Rubio.
I also know that if Trump doesn’t man up and quit whining like a little bitch, I am switching to Cruz, Evangelical side and all.

Santorum and Huckabee ran as hard Religious Right conservatives, which is what drove those wins in Iowa 4 and 8 years ago. They ran that way again this time, and both have dropped out. Why they won has nothing to do with why they selected Cruz this time by a more significant majority. Even Iowa appears to recognize that the most significant failure of the GOP has been pandering to the “Church Ladies” who want government to mandate everyone believe as they do instead of doing their own work to win people by the strength of their arguments. Sadly, most can’t because all they have is religion and “because that’s what the preacher said,” being so heavenly minded that they’re no earthly good. They blame the demoralization of society on external influences instead of them becoming irrelevant and out of touch.
Only a very small population of collectors would buy a 1950’s television today but they’re selling 1950’s religion instead of something living and useful today.
Rubio is making no secret of his faith, but he’s also very clear that it’s his own and something that others can choose or not on their own. Ben Carson is making pretty much the same argument. Trump is on the other end, a member of a church denomination, implying that he’s not an enemy of traditional values…not sure that’s convincing anyone. Cruz has obviously been in church, with his presentation style being equal parts overplayed Perry Mason and Billy Graham. Until he stops preaching his closing statements, he’ll continue to drive everyone but the most dedicated Cruzers away with his pompous, arrogant style – the last two terms have given us more than enough of that for a lifetime.

Read last strip about eating armadillo or possum on the half shell. The critters are carriers for leprosy. Cajuns, who ate them regularly tested for the disease. It advances in only about 10 percent of the population.

The armadillos which carry the bacillus for leprosy are pretty much restricted to the Texas/Louisiana Gulf Coast. If cooked properly it should kill those bacilli, but better to avoid the coastal critters. I don’t think the dry country ‘dillos west of San Antone carry the disease.
How about a coastal armadillo cook-out for the next Democratic rally on the Gulf Coast? Undercooked, of course.

Cruz was endeared to me by accident yesterday. I’d missed changing the station after Rush, which left the Republican establishment whore Medved emanating hate for Ted from my speakers. Now it’s possible I’ve missed something, but “only in it for self aggrandizement” doesn’t fit what I’ve seen of Ted. Trump, probably. Hitlary and Bernie, definitely. Not to mention BOASTUS (Actively Screwing), being a more complete example, yet Medved rarely pointed his vitriol at The One, I’d pretty much forgotten about him. Damn!

Wow! And I thought that I was the only person in the country who realized that Michael Medved was a phony conservative, and a thoroughly establishment Republican. In 2000 he pimped for McCain, and Romney in 2012. His voice sneers with obvious contempt for every conservative out there. And yet he is accepted by the Salem radio network talk show hosts as one of theirs.
Just as the followers (leaders my ass) who signed onto the hit piece a while back; they are interested only in self perpetuation…they all know they are relegated to the peanut gallery under Trump/Cruz.
That would be the National Review hit piece. (see, follower is right there in their name; they don’t lead shit except to their own endangered status just like the other kind of RINO’s).

Anybody the establishment hates so much has to be doing something good. What I fear is a Trump/Rubio ticket. winDsock does the deal with the GOPe post Super Tuesday and cruises to victory. Its for the Party you know. The GOPe then gets to concentrate on the cankle/bernie show or hair plugs/fauxahontas.
I simply cannot stomach Trump as a candidate. If he wins the nomination, I’ll vote Libertarian. Eventually, enough people will be fed up and we’ll get a true Independent party that will garner enough support to shake up both the Dems and the GOP. I think both of those parties are so corrupt and beholden to their masters that they are incapable of internal reform. The Tea Party movement has tried to reform the GOP, and largely failed.
In reality the Presidential election is a side show, a distraction from the true center of domestic politics, which is Congress. That’s where the Constitution places real power. Real political change is going to have to start there if we’re to break the powers that be.
