How about building the fence completely over the roof of the WH ? That would make the monkey cage complete and we could throw peanuts at all the simian inhabitants….

That’s why you install 2 inch thick plexiglass inside the fence. With internal rotating fire hoses to hose it down every night. Keeps the observers safe, clean and dry.
Sweet. Subtle, but sweet. KenH got it. Der fuhrer could suck start a 12 gauge?

From the voice of any of the elites: “So, what do the people really think of these programs?”
Lapdog: “The people are revolting!”
Elite One: “Yes, yes, but what do they think?”

Sir Rodney runs in yelling “The peasants are revolting!”
The King says, “You can say that again.”

Two observations, Bill. One, I seriously doubt they would even ask such a question. Two, I doubt the lapdog media would answer candidly even if the elites DID ask such a question.
I see no reason whatsoever to believe the elites are in any way the least bit interested in what we peed-ons out here in flyover country think about anything.

The official story goes that after the 1993 WTC truck bomb attack, Penn’a Ave. in front of the WH was made over into a pedestrian mall to forestall such an attack on it. (In fact, it’s most vulnerable from the service entrance side in back, where there’s no lawn for distance.)
The “unofficial” story is that Hillary began demanding it as soon as she and Billy Jeff took up residence. Why. Basically, every other “crowned head” had such a “greenspace” in front of their official residence, and she wasn’t going to be denied one of her own.
Have to constantly remind those grotty groundlings of their place in The Grand Scheme Of Things, after all. If they want to see the Royal Palace, with the Royals in residence, they can damned well do it on foot, as befits their lowly station.
Even more than The One, Hillary thinks like a hereditary monarch. One who is royally pissed that her coronation is still being delayed.
When she finally gets there, don’t expect her to be mollified or even one bit possessed of any concept of noblesse oblige. It will be Queen of Hearts 24/7/365.

Yup…
But American society, hand raised by generations of Proglodytes in education and Media seems to be hell bent on suicide.
And honestly there seems to not really be anywhere for those of us remaining “We the People” to go except to the militia recruiter…
And it is sickening but accurate that you use the term “*When* she gets there…”
Which lead us to you, David M…in light of the above it is increasingly likely that the “…anywhere for those of us remaining “We the People” to go…” will be the New Lone Star Republic. Which is not to exclude the need for the militia, except at that point it could/would be the standing army of a sovereign state.
Let them keep their monkey cage on Pa. Ave., in fact let them wall the entire city. You think the elites are against building walls? Not if it’s to keep THEM safe from the harm of their own roving minions.

The Potomac, the Chesapeake, and the Atlantic are very close. No shortage of water. Wouldn’t be difficult to flood a built-over swamp.

Back in the ‘70s, I took many photos from the road running by the rear of the White House, which got you close and personal and made for great images. When I revisited DC in ’99, that road was entirely closed off. Somehow, I doubt very much that they’ve reopened it.
The more people wake up, the more and better fences they are going to need. I’m buying fence and wall company stock. Wall Street stock seems to be falling out of favor.

Ah, fences. I always find it an odd combination of amusing and depressing that conservatives’ solutions to the problems of big, awful government – in this case, the minimum wage and gratuitous overregulation preventing full employment and the welfare state simultaneously providing a “safety hammock” for the unemployed – with even bigger and worse government – in this case, draconian border policies, hardcore communist-style identity checks for travel, employment, etc., an addition to the massive amount of debt, and ignoring the fact that things like ladders and tunnels exist. It’s like you’re trying to out-retard the progressives.

But with walls, fences, and tunnels – you have the elites (etc) “corralled” and in a funnel, easier to watch, turn back (if necessary), and control (again, if necessary).
Any edict coming from within the walled/fenced in area can be taken for the fecal matter it is, ignored, and disposed of as appropriate.

Sadly, while I used to believe that a rebellion/revolution was coming, I no longer believe that to be the case. After generations of conditioning by the proglodytes in the department of indoctrination and propaganda I do not believe a sufficient critical mass of people exists to make a revolution possible. Instead, the majority will meekly report to the camps when ordered as did the Nisei during WWII thence to emulate the Jews in the Nazi death camps by walking quietly into the “showers”. I used to believe that the grand republic bequeathed to us by the founders would end, not with a bang but with a whimper. Alas, I no longer believe there will even be that whimper.
DAMN! But I hope I’m wrong! Reckon we’ll see here real soon.

All this reminds of of the Robert Heinlein story, “Friday”, where the background is the balkanization of America.
That’s one thing I always loved about RAH’s books and stories. He built such a complete society and background, you remember that as much as the main story and characters themselves.
