They have several choices, none good. They can stay out in the deep, get hypothermia and “feed the sharks”. They can try to swim in, and risk their luck with the surf breaking on the coral shore – that stuff will flay you alive and cut you to ribbons. Especially with no wetsuit and no surf board. hehehe.

I have been told about the possible extent of this. A friend (even a Dem) wrote exposes on it in a large state and many got arrested, convicted and are serving time. I heard rumors about it in the church, but all around me never appeared so. I made sure all of the kids in the CYO that my priest friend and I ran for several years were OK. And they were. One brother told me the extent he believed that it was worldwide. I said that I did not think that it was that large. I knew of some of the perversion in my county and state, but demanded that I deal with no perversion. There were unproven indicators and then the former gubernatorial candidate that was homosexual. I was asked by someone if I objected to a gay candidate. I said that I did not care so long as he was not chasing around underage children. Well. He was, as was dramatically revealed later. Pelosi holding back that information that the guy was chasing around underageCongressional pages helped Obama win ( I believe it was that election). They blamed the Republicans for not revealing it when Pelosi knew at least a year before, I recall. The press followed pelosi’s lead and agenda. The MSM press is set to misstate news and spin it one way, no matter what.

Technically speaking that Biblical quote commands a limit to punishment.
The idea I believe is to keep the punishment from corrupting the punishers, just as Kosher slaughter is as humane as possible to keep butchers from enjoying their work too much.
People must be careful too avoid taking pleasure in the pain of others. It can brutalize you and we all lose from that.

I read through the main strip before the last three panels were up. Read those now. The concept of us empowering the state follows what is in the USA. that of our retrieval of that empowerment when the state neglects its duties also follows. But the people in the state do not usually like “their” power messed with or challenged, no matter what the ‘state’ has done.
