The man has been a party unto himself right along…

I just commented to NYIAC on yesterday’s ‘toon that I am in awe of his ability to focus on his promised platform (decision to cancel DACA today) while engineering an outstanding gov response to huge natural disaster and planning response to a huger man-made one.

Man is a force of nature. May he and we prevail in a world and nation and party twisted and turned against him and us.

For those unfamiliar with DC, K St. is the location of most lobbyist firms. At night, the ladies of the evening are located there. It’s said the night shift have more scuples
    than the day shift.

If that be so, I could agree.

I was told that if I wanted to make big money I needed to be employed on the K-Street day shift.
I have refused to ever set foot in Washington DC though I have been invited to be given a personal tour of the White House three times (maybe meet the past presidents – 3 -from 2 parties), and a personal tour of Congress by the then possibly fifth most powerful man in DC. All of that while never compromising my principles, and never getting any recognition except being able to talk with them at public events, or while the numbers they gave me stayed active. I have wanted in at the party at a honorable level acting FOR America and our people. I am going out on my own again as there is no way for me to get the ear of the good people in government. Though the President and Vice President both have given speeches in the past months that included ideas very important to the survival of Western Civilization that I have been inserting with stealth wherever I could for a years. Or, as my idiot sister would say about life, history, and business: “It would have happened anyway!” Thus contradicting FDR when he said that there is no coincidence in politics. I may have an overly blown up impression of myself, but, my best ideas have been insertion of simple facts that lead people down obvious (as later seen) paths. Simple truths have the greatest powers I have found.
Be aware that each and every one of you has an incredibly greater amount of power than you even imagine. And I know so little, and i know some of that I know so little.
JTC. You send that info I wrote and you commented on. I am such a Luddite that I could not connect with any of those contacts. It never ceases to amaze me how so absolutely incompetent at some things I can be. I am a Luddite. I was separated from computers for an extended period right after the 8086 second generation came out, and Prodigy was the new internet flash. I still have a 1200 bps second modem I ever had in a box somewhere. Maybe I am an idiot savant with some of this. or maybe just an idiot? 🙂 I still am a Luddite.
And I have been part of putting on great parties with god people that people have traveled from all over the world to make sure they did not miss them. I appreciate a great party and good women. i am not a K street person.
Run the big Party, Mr. President.
There are so many that can be blackmailed, you can offer a pardon for the federal stuff if they cooperate to save the Republic, and then go into a cave of some sort for the rest of their life. DC is dirty. Use the dirt to clean it up. End the K Street dominance of the government. They had their turn at theft. End those days. (At least for a generation of so.)

So many great ideas that I have had I find out where others have had similar previously, even the same ideas. That is great support for the value of an idea. The history of whether it was implemented and the results add to the usefulness. The object is not glory. The object is the good. The glory hounds stink up politics. There are so many brown nosed sycophants in politics. No naming names needed.

Those on the night shift know they are getting screwed up front.
Couldn’t help myself, and no I do not want a whippin’, unlike some of those on K Street and the various halls of Government.

For those I haven’t inflicted this on before, here’s how ‘Our’ government responds to ‘We, the people’:

One quote; “The preferences of the average American appear to have only a minuscule, near-zero, statistically non-significant impact upon public policy.”

Which is why I stopped answering the political “surveys” that came in the mail. There was never anything done, and all they wanted was my money. “help us reach our goal, send $xx to support our cause”.

I’ll fill out and return their surveys, but never, ever include any $$s. Scroom . . .

I’ve heard there was a time when politicians did not seek office, rather they were persuaded by their peers based on their good works… This was certainly not during my lifetime but I digress…

A friend suggested the solution to today’s politics is to use your ballot box carefully. Anyone who is an incumbent must be thrown out. Period. No exceptions. Fire them all… and each election cycle continue to fire them all until those who seek power realize there is no advantage to pandering.

Those were the days before Jacksonian Democracy.
Perhaps the modern day equivalent would be for any politician to deliberately step aside after one term and let his/her successor try the job, and then run again. Anyone who could regain a position after a hiatus is probably worth keeping, especially after running against an incumbent.
