Strict adherence to the Koran is not practiced 100%. Much like voting “Baptist dry” in the South. While in Iraq in 2005 we noticed one of the major items smuggled into the country was alcohol. Also, some of our interpreters would bend the dietary law. One in particular, code named Lucky, loved bacon. We confronted him and accused him of eating pig. His reply as he waved a piece at us was ” is not pig is bacon” and he smiled and ate a whole plate.

Reading Glubb Pasha’s excellent books, and also other folks histories, and various translations (better denoted as ‘transliterations’, due to Arabic cultural references including concepts not encapsulated inside one English word, or even one English sentence!), leaves me with my view of the followers of Mohammed: a bunch of sub-sects, attempting to live-in, and cope-with, nowadays’ Cultures, and Technology, using the Tools suitable to a conquering army. The Cognitive Dissonances are widely harmful, including the difficulties of fully educating females, and the huge problems that follow when trying to fully utilize the brainpower of the female half of our human race.
I see followers of Mohammed as coping-crippled by the restrictions on the human rights of women. The results are oft risible, but always the sadder, the further the restrictions are applied.
A second result of the Koran’s application to education is the dire results on maintenance, and repair of complex machinery that is working in the field.
“As Mohammed Wills”,
is not a reliable way to perform inspection, maintenance, and repair, on things-mechanical!

It was due to the Catholic and Orthodox monastaries and orders which had preserved originals and copies fleeing to Western Europe ahead of the invaders, and taking those texts with them to avoid them being destroyed by the Muslim invaders, as they had done with the great library of Alexandria in the 8th Century. The texts arrived just at the time that men like Aldus Manutius were making mechanical printing a high-volume business, and were looking for material to print and sell.
Surprise!- We owe the “classical education” of today to…free-market capitalism. Just don’t tell the academic elite’ that- they prefer to romance their vision of enlightened Islam.

I am very happy that our President, against all odds, continues to fight the Muslim invasion of America. It isn’t too late for us. But now we know we need a super-majority in 2018 to truly fight the cowards of the Left. MAN UP, PEOPLE.

But I firmly believe until the West finally says Halt, NO MORE and begins a declared and outright war with Islam, nothing will get better.
This means it will get MUCH worse before it gets better.

(Since there are many OTHER reasons for not eating bacon, he suggested alternatives such as drawing a picture of Mohammad.)

One book I recommend: The Arab Mind, by Raphael Patai. Read it as a kid back in 1979, at the same time I read the Koran (high-school term paper on religion: I got Islam as my assignment).
It was an intelligent, thoughtful, and just dissection of the culture AND religion back when Hollywood was still showing Arabs as comic relief characters on camel-back.
Still valid today, and once again in print, and well worth reading, not just by conservatives but also and probably more so by liberals.
Should be required reading for anyone in office, in business, or breathing.
