In law enforcement, we’ve referred to the FBI as the Fumbling Bunch of Idiots for decades. When we were trying to be polite, that is.
Sometimes, when local LEO are dealing with the Bureau, the term JABOASAATFO shows up. It describes a typical FBI “investigative team”, and means a Just A Bunch Of Assholes Sitting Around A Table F**king Off. It’s due to the Bureau boys being OCD about endless “meetings” and “planning sessions”. With terms like “action the suspect’s action initiatives”, etc., flying around at Buzzword Bingo levels you’d only expect to see in a Dilbert cartoon.
The FBI is a self-perpetuating, self-generating, permanent “report”-manufacturing machine. If you need actual Federal law enforcement assistance, you might try the U.S. Marshals.

I know it hasn’t mattered since I was born in 1951. Nobody in either party gives a TINKER’S DAMN what We The little People think, care about or want. I truly doubt the Prez cares. The way I figure it we have to try to elect someone whose interest runs somewhat parallel to ours. That way they can act solely on their own interests and some of the benefit slops over to us. Trump is a businessman. If he does things to make things better for business then the improving economy will make things better for us peed-ons out here in flyover country!

The problem is NObody in any of those agencies gives a rat’s ass WHAT the President thinks about them. Pretty much everyone working at all of those agencies are Civil Service and therefor essentially IMMUNE from being fired. Remember, folks, the deep state (bureaucracy, civil servants, mandarins, whatever) have always run things from time immemorial. Dollars to donut holes the first government had a deep state.

They may be immune to being fired, but they can still be TRANSFERRED to some of the most undesireable locations on the planet. In the Air Force, I saw a Wing Commander appoint several colonels “special project officers” and pack them all in a broom-closet-sized office so that he could place his political cronies in their jobs.
Perhaps some of these high-level swamp dwellers should be given the honor of opening new field offices in the vicinity of Uguluk, Alaska. Of course, the facility would only be a pup-tent to start with, until materials were available. And you know what an ordeal obtaining building permits in the Alaskan wilderness can be. And with no kitchen facilities, MREs would the sole menu, and satellite shots are VERY prone to interference, so internet and entertainment might be a bit spartan…or they could resign.
