    (Gigglesnorrrttt!)

If Sam was wearing a bikini, how small does the gun have to be?

(I’ll let you guys figure that one out.)

There are some pretty small firearms out there. NAA mini revolvers for example.

A .22LR hollow point with an X cut with a knife or razor goes in small and requires major effort to stop the bleeding at the exit point — WWII OSS.

An engineer would know better than most the effect of a tiny fast projectile (say a .22lr) entering a small enclosed cavity (say a skull) through a vulnerable port (say an ear, temple, above back of neck) at upcloseandpersonal range. No exit usually, just some rattling and scambling of contents, if any. Explaining why it is the weapon of choice for hitmen immemorial. Talk about efficiency, no mess.

But yeah, it’s a BUG as explained in my old linked piece.

        The first rule of projectile power is the same as the first rule of traffic safety;

        Speed Kills.

Agree re projectiles. Take major exception to traffic. If traffic speed kills, the mortality rate at Indy – or any NASCAR EVENT – would be 100%. In traffic, it is speed DIFFERENTIAL that kills. Similarly, when falling off a tall building it’s not the fall that’s the problem — it’s that sudden stop at the bottom that does the damage.

I figure a little overkill is just right. In close quarters and with mini guns. I can empty the little Ruger 22 mag so it looks like the target got hit with 000 buck real fast and accurate, Close in, I like it better than heavy metal and is much more concealable.

You can use a rubber band to get the same effect, you know. Why would you pay a fat price for something that can be replaced for about $.01 by a heavy duty rubber band????

It was a favorite of Modesty Blaise. She kept a small .32 automatic there, and aimed between the eyes. See “A Taste For Death”.

Don’t get to wrapped up with what you own rather than what you can do with what you own. Too many people brag about how many rounds they possess but they never would think about actually using it to practice. Compete and find out how good you are. It’s a reality check.

Yeah, that would take some getting used to. I’m hoping that 20/650 was correctable with glasses.

Mine are 20/600+ in the left and 20/1000+ in the right, with astigmatisms, but glasses have been correcting things nicely for over 50 years now. Though now I use cheaters over the normal glasses for computer screens.

    Sam carrying?

My guess would be a compact H&K Self Cocker in a soft calf leather holster nestled inside her left thigh,

Back up would be a flat Colt Hammerless Auto in the small of her back…

Just off the top of my head, of course.

Mom was a “flapper” girl, and loved to jitterbug. One evening in 1943, when she and Dad were out for the evening in Las Vegas with friends, she was jitterbugging with their friend and Dad was dancing with the friend’s wife. Her thigh holster came loose and her Browning Hi Power went skittering across the floor. Her partner scooped it up and they finished the dance. When they returned to the table, he laid the pistol on the table in front of her and told her to put it in her purse “Where most women carry their safety.” He was a United States Marshal.
