Based on the #1 Demwit Rule: Lie all the time, I would not be surprised at all to see a Red Wave. What is the difference between this prediction and the one that happened in 2016?
Oh yeah, The Trump has been busy with his can of ShitToFix!(tm)
“Democrats never see past color’ – and I wonder how they really feel about the color black. Sometimes, the libertards are so loud-mouthed about that “r” word that you wonder how much they are unwisely telling us about themselves….
They feel the same about “coloreds” today as they did sixty years ago — they just learned to *hide* what they really believe behind layers of polysyllabic psuedointellectual sophistry (a.k.a. “critical race theory”, “black studies”, “intersectionality”, etc.), and how to put up a false front of morally-outraged posturing whenever anyone tries to call them out on it. But at their core, they still see “coloreds” as inherently-inferior subspecies who are incapable of living in civilized society without the constant supervision and guidance of their “betters”, and whose sole value is how useful they can be to their Leftist masters.
They used to call it “the white man’s burden.” Now, it’s “Progressive Man’s burden.” Nothing else has changed.
they still see “coloreds” [anyone who doesn’t think in lockstep with them] as inherently-inferior subspecies who are incapable of living in civilized society without the constant supervision and guidance of their “betters”
Added a bit to make it universally applicable. Do they realize the unadulterated, clear-quill, unmitigated HUBRIS of their belief. They are so convinced of their inherent “superiority” they believe it gives them license to do whatever they feel necessary to “correct” the perceived deficiencies of others.

ND you’ve just described the justification and chains of the modern Vote Plantation.
We can only hope the slaves recognize their situation and take action, since no one can break those chains for them.

DildoCrats……the originators of the “white wave”……..KKK hoods and robes………in order to intimidate the black voters.
As y’all might know, I’m Canadian. Up here, the official colours associated to our political parties are reversed. The Liberal Party is “red” (and they’re regressive AF) and the Conservative Party is “blue” (and they’re free market types) and our most socialist party, the New Democratic Party is “orange” (and they’re insane).
Originally, it was red for Dems and Blue for Republicans, but the Dems complained to their tail sniffing media buddies that red had too many commie connotations and they switched it around. That’s the swap Sam is referring to.
Oddly, the mail I’m getting from Republican mid-term candidates is bordered in BLUE, not in red, and when I look for the party orientation, it always says Republican. I can match that with the summary booklet in my mail the last week in October, just to be sure, but the ballots are all labeled by party, sooooo….
Something is stirring, and I don’t think it’s a pot of fudge topping.

Wayne, it used to be that way down here. Red was the color of leftism be it socialism, communism of fascism. Hence the description of O’Bozo as a “red diaper baby” because he was brought in a socialist household. Then, suddenly, things flip-flopped and suddenly Republicans/conservatives were the “red” party. With the media to help them control the narrative, they can do whatever they please.
I wasn’t aware of the swap of colours in the US. Thank you for the education, everyone!!
The current Canadian flag is red & white with a red maple leaf. I say current flag because it is relatively new, being adopted in 1965.
The previous flag, referred to as the Canadian Red Ensign, was unofficial but served Canada from our confederation in 1867.
Given that our flags always featured red prominently and, unfortunately, the Liberal Party has been our dominant political party since the 1960s, the colour is entrenched with them.

Although I wasn’t a fan of Stephen Harper who managed to unite Canada’s political right, he did demonstrate to Canadians that there is a viable alternative.
It did help how the Liberals were caught out in a corruption scandal huge enough that the leftist media couldn’t hide it.
That being said, the Canadian media were nearly as insane toward Harper as the US media are toward Trump.

The standard up to 2000 was for the party that held the White House to be blue and the “challengers” to be red. So in 1988 and 1992, the Republicans were blue, in 1996 and 2000, they were red.
And then someone noticed how the network red-blue maps showed a deep rural/urban divide, rather than the regional loyalties that once held. That got enough attention to imprint red = Republican, blue = Democrat on the generally un-noticing public.
I recall a ‘Red’ or ‘Pinko’ being a communist or communist sympathizer. Couldn’t have been that the lefties didn’t want that association being made public in the days that even a label of Socialist was the political kiss of death.
Remember “Better dead than red”? If the “blue” folks use it today (and I keep expecting them to do so any day, now) it will mean the exact opposite of what it used to.
The swap actually began with NBC in 1992. Up to that time they’d used blue for the GOP and red for the Democrats, mainly due to so many Dems being fond of anything and everything Socialist, and red was the signature color of every Socialist movement in European history going back to the Jacobins.
But red is also the color for warning signs, fire trucks, fire extinguishers, and anything else marked “DANGER” in our culture. So they changed the colors in their 1992 election coverage maps because in 1980 and 1988, the blue of states that had given Ronald Reagan his two electoral victories were jokingly referred to as “Lake Reagan”, and they hated that.
They far prefer that if a Republican wins at all, it’s in glaringly bright red to tell everyone “DANGER! DANGER! WARNING! WARNING!” like that effing robot on Lost In Space.
The fact that the left doesn’t mind their propaganda wing (the media) hijacking their trademark color for Psywar purposes shows you just how cynical they really are.
Excellent background information by “eon”. It was like we woke up one day and found that everything green had turned orange. No one seemed to know at the time why the Republicans had suddenly turned “red” and the Democrats were transformed to “blue”. It was a time when the media scum could do whatever they wanted, with everyone else scratching their heads in confusion. Like everything the modern parasite-ruling classes do, it boomeranged. Hence MAGA. Hence Trump. Hence our one last chance.
I have no issues with red being the signature color for the Republican party at this time. It is a bright, cheerful color (despite its history associating it with the communist lefties) and like a lot of other people, I like bright cheerful colors. I bought a bunch of t-shirts 15 years ago in various shades of red, because I never wore that to work. Gray w/white or light blue, navy w/white or very pale yellow – that sort of thing – were considered conservative colors when John Molloy did his ‘Dress For Success’ research for corporations that wanted their employees to move ahead.
My, how things have changed. My 15-year-old tees are fraying at the seams from laundry encounters, and the company still sells those shades of red. I will have to get some more, plus green and a sort of persimmony snickets salmon shade, and maybe a couple in shades of blue.
My favorite color is red, so I’m more than happy to see it associated with somewhat more conservative folk than it was in my younger days. But I like most all bright, cheerful colors, especially reds, royal blues and purples, emerald and forest greens, sunshine yellow, Harley-Davidson orange, etc. And those were the shades I wore to work, albeit in conservative/classic cut clothing. Never had a problem getting promoted because of my “power” colors.
I have worn out my “can you see me now, you dipwad?!!” florescent green, yellow and orange t-shirts, the ones I wear when riding, but we’re into jacket weather now, so buying new ones can wait. And my motorcycle leathers are screaming white for visibility, as is helmet and motorcycle.
I’d love to have all red riding gear, but it’s not a color most vehicle drivers choose to see.
Choices. Progs choose to see themselves as the royal elite, hence the color choice today. Surprised they haven’t gone completely over to royal purple, then dictated no one else shall wear it…
Free Americans don’t give a rat’s ass about color, whether it’s the media-assigned attempt to define them and their beliefs, or a proglodyte-assigned attempt to turn their own radical racism against us. The color of Trumpism is purple, and the color of Constitutionalism is tan.
The colors were swapped, appropriately enough, in 1984 for the second Reagan landslide. The Democrat Networks wanted to avoid the connect to the traditional Red connection to Communism. They thought their Communism was made to obvious, so they changed the Repubs to Red…..I remember laughing my ass off about it at the time.
I wanted to go to the Trump rally in Mesa, AZ but the line to get in was ridiculously long so I had to pass. I heard, not in the local paper, that there were 15,000 that wanted to get in but could not. Movama, Uncle Joe and the rest of the Dems can not even fill a high school gymnasium. I am really looking forward to Wednesday to hear the total mental breakdown of the left. They will be even more shocked than they were in 2016. Aside from MASSIVE cheating on a scale never dreamed of before, I think they are going to be stomped. Most of the big guys do not want to say it just in case they are wrong

I did wonder about that color swap. But just vote R, whether it means Red to you or not.

I would be highly suspect of that Orange batch. If I remember correctly, an “orange revolution” in a European country was a bona fide Soros operation.

Bold Red was associated with the Nazi, Chinese, and Ruskie flags.
I remember that, too, Capt. Hence my moniker.

The Democrats became blue because whenever they take power everyone has a reason to sing the blues. It’s the best reason I can think of.
