So long as the (insert noun here) fight [group} against ]group], so long will they be a little people… a silly people… greedy, barbarous and cruel.
Let us pray to the Gods of the Internet, the electrons whizzing along at the speed of light cavalry, that the quarreling continues… and nothing they want gets done… and the Wall gets funded and built… and they find themselves stranded in the Great Nitwit Desert.
And “lectured” is not a misnomer… we deplorables just don’t “get it” so the elites must needs instruct us in proper behaviour…
For (bad) example, Canada’s Part-time Drama Teacher in charge, Trudeau the Younger, used his “Christmas Greeting” video to lecture Canadians on how hard some people have it… and promising that he and his government are working hard to make it worse as quickly as possible… or something like that. To be honest, I struggled to listen to his smarmy false sincerity…
Current vote count is 649 up vs 9.7k down… link below… feel free to down vote!
Wouldn’t the world be served better, if Trudeau II, Macron, and Beta Boy O’Rourke formed a boy band? Macron’s mommy might play the tambourine. In all, much less damage to the world and, the possibility of entertainment.
Hmmm… that does bear consideration… That way those who vote with their ovaries instead of their brains could buy tickets with their own money, not my tax dollars…

Too Tall
Um, Chris,
Interventor’s idea is begging for a Super Sunday treatment, kind of like the poster of the Star Wars characters in a rock band, or the Lee Harvey Oswald – Jack Ruby “band posters.”
Nan should be careful, some pretty big Great Whites around Kona there…would that not be irony and poetry all wrapped up in karma? A lot to ask though, sharks do have incredibly sensitive senses of smell and way too much taste for that.
Srsly though, there is impact. Back and forth by text tonight with my daughter in Clearwater as she waited three hours for my 16 year old granddaughter takeing ten nighttime stop and go flights to check the last box to be ready for the private pilot exam planned for her 17th birthday next Tuesday. She is ready, having aced all checkrides and practice testing, only…no FAA examiners under the shutdown. 🙁
Bummer, but she understands the bigger picture, and also that dealing with adversity while maintaining focus is a critical element esp. for flying the big jets as is her goal. Already a few months ago that was tested when the owner of her flight school who had become a great friend and mentor to her was killed as he co-piloted one of his private jets on a charter, the one in South Carolina where after landing the plane couldn’t stop, running off an embankment and breaking in two, killing him and the primary pilot. Again, very tough to deal with personally for an incredibly sensitive and talented girl, but again valuable training for the responsibility she will accept and be prepared for later.
But she’ll get her exam, she will ace it, and she will be one step closer to her dream. Already with dual enrollment she will hold an AA degree when she graduates high school next year and enters aeronautical school plus a full university credit load at the Christian Southeastern University that has partnered with International Aero Academy for fast track commercial pilot training.
So yeah, some real-world impact of what seems and mostly is irrelevant and remote from life, and it ain’t easy…but Grace’s very smart and inspirational mom and my daughter has made sure that she fully groks that adversity is part of life, and a character building process.
BTW she might be among the last students at CA which along with their sister company Air America, is being run by the dead guy Steve’s son pending being sued into oblivion by the injured rich couple who were the only passengers on that Falcon.

San Fran Nan will never suffer an attack by sharks. Professional courtesy and all.
Nothing Great about that White, more like Apologetic White…but she’ll still take the Privilege, stupid elitist bitch.
Avoiding consumption of that carrion would be more a matter of good taste than professional courtesy I think.

Kudos to her.
And that accident was a severe reality check.
Two high school acquaintances that I did not know as well as her instructor died as pilots. My instructor, a high school friend, did not. I asked him to instruct me using a flying club Cessna 170 I had available. He had not flown in a while as, unlike now, pilots were a dime a dozen back then. He got back into it after teaching me a few things, then moved on to other work, and then 727’s, L10-11’s, and other heavy aircraft for various carriers. I would have done more, but there was no possibility of commercial jobs for me. That green vision deficiency at night problem washed me out at the physical.
I wish all the best in flying. It is fun, as welkl as demanding. It is pure reality.
This is very important because the available energy is based on the cube of the wind speed, so 0.7 of the speed has only 0.34 of the energy, 34%. There is also a wake effect, namely the wind turbines remove energy thus slow down wind speeds so there’s less energy available for downwind turbines.
So we’re likely not going to get Green energy independence by building lots more bird and bat killers, even if we do get the energy storage problem solved.
If the government shuts down, please, someone, tell me.
Besides, those federal government jobs people make so much more money than the average worker in this country that they should be able to survive a year or two without a paycheck.
That’s what every responsible person at those pay levels should be able to do.
It’s only logical.
That’s assuming they had the sense to put something aside. But most likely they expected the Civil Service gravy train to run forever, with a nice fat pension at the last station.
Damn it Oz, I was all prepared to congratulate CM on that artful scene, with the obvious proviso of that cancerous lump blocking the view…always try to read through prior comments so as to no be redundant and seem even more obtuse than I am.
But, obtusity notwithstanding I’m sure I’ll feel the need to blather more later about the subject matter here or the sometimes tenuous but always interesting tangents to it that occur here so regularly. Thanks to the proprieter/artiste for that.
That is not an image or thought I want in my head when we get to Kona in February. 🙁
I wish that Kona had been kept more secret, it was the last of the undiscovered places in Hawaii. Over the last 18 years I have watched it change from a nice little town to a vacation hot spot.
I don’t know about Great Whites, haven’t seen any tales about them in the area, but there is plenty of Tiger Sharks. But again, professional courtesy.
Uhm, I am one of those northern invaders. Been to Florida a few times, mainly sports television work (Stanley Cup, NASCAR) and visited a time or two (Keys).
My wife loves the Kona area so we go every few years.
Nice link. Great Whites are in the area, but I have not heard any stories about them, mainly Tiger Sharks.
My concern is a health one. What if someone caught and ate the shark that caught and ate that?
Got to fight a Tiger Shark last visit, took my bait while deep sea fishing. A tough 1/2hr+ before it spit it out. Fun.
Yes sir I know, Canuckian as I recall. I’m sure you are a nice visitor and Hawaii but like Kuna, my old haunt in Palm Beach County where once we could ride our motorcycles on the beach for miles is now quite infested, and I would have preferred it remain just for me…but that would be a little elitist of me wouldn’t it?
I did see some big sharks including GW’s between PB and the Bahama out islands when as a young fool I manned the boat for some lobster poaching diver friends (off duty cops!) back in the day so the pirates wouldn’t steal their shit while they were down there. Hooked a couple too that wore me out before I wore them out, but a fun workout like you said.
As to eating the flesh of what ate that flesh…horrible thought.

DASTARDLY DAN
I had an idea last night on how PDT could really stick it to the progs, bring out their real selves. He needs to start (and put some money into) a fund that would give interest free bridge loans to the federal workers not working. Then, open it up for anyone to contribute, emphasizing the millionares in congress like Nancy Pelossified, leftard celebs, etc. with the names and amount ‘invested’ made public.
I’d bet a paycheck they wouldn’t get a dime from the ones who are whining the loudest about the poor ‘workers’
Nor I, but of course it is DT’s MO because it is the left’s and they don’t get to control him on it, yet. But the suggestion is good and his people should be sure he sees it. Anybody?

There is an emergency fund that loans to civil servants, like the one that aids the military. Interest is low and no government funds involved.
They say they are all about the symbiosis, and they think it is all of the first type, and they[re even good with the second type. It’s that third one they are unknowingly hosting now though, and that is what they are about to see and feel. This will be good.
Right now, 2:41PM ET, ABC News broke in with a Special Report, Nancy Pelosi elected Speaker of the House. Showing her give her speech. She just finished and on a hot mic looked down at her speech and said “I think I missed a few pages.”
Thanks Chris. It does about say it all about that… Woman.
Sadly, it looks like she was indeed elected to be the Speaker. A shame, really, when you think about the Democrat Congressmen who actually stayed and worked in DC…
Listen here, Barking Moonbat Pelousi.

Seems fitting for San Fran Nan to have a MooMoo. Maybe it’ll inspire her to Mooooove On.
Where’s a frikkin Land Shark when you need one?
San Fran Nan on the beach in Hawaii reminds me of the windrows of dead alewives washing up on the shores .of the Great Lakes.
Prob’ly smelled about the same, too…
And smells the same – or was that your meaning? As the old joke goes, “That smells like the outhouse door on a tuna boat.” What a crone.
So long as the (insert noun here) fight [group} against ]group], so long will they be a little people… a silly people… greedy, barbarous and cruel.

Looking for something to say about this treasonous filth, I had to not say all the foul words than came into my head unbidden,

She doing her touch and go’s at Albert Whitted or St Pete-Clearwater Intl?
St. Pete/Clearwater with Clearwater Aviation. But tonight was actually full-stop landing/takeoff reps, her last flight requirement .

ICYMI, A New Study Could Spell Trouble For The Future Of Wind Energy. Seems for the almost 40 years studied there’s been a severe drop in surface wind speeds in the Northern Hemisphere, with 80% of Asia having 30% or more drops.
This is very important because the available energy is based on the cube of the wind speed, so 0.7 of the speed has only 0.34 of the energy, 34%. There is also a wake effect, namely the wind turbines remove energy thus slow down wind speeds so there’s less energy available for downwind turbines.

Not being able to do what THEY want to do.

‘Splains rather a lot don’t it?

Chris, Thanks for portraying Pelosi in a covering. Seeing her in a bikini would have caused peoples’ seizures and convulsions across the Internet……
Democrats have descended to a place where even the worst hypocrisy is above their moral capability.
About the discussion of the current crop of leftists so naively allowing the monster within them to eat them from the inside:
