Menendez has to have the lobbyists pay for “a little love” and anything else because everyone knows what a crook he is and would rip them off. That includes the other 30 odd democrats too.
I always thought that phrase was incomplete, as to where one was to get down. But then I suppose, leaving something to the imagination always generates more heat.
They probably went to PR to pat the governor there on the head for being a good little progressive.
And to collect their cut of the money he and his cronies have ripped off from the disaster aid. About $6B they claim they “never got” at last count.
Meanwhile, the island is run by armed gangs, who control everything from food distribution to the electrical grid. You want a loaf of bread or power for your house? You deal with them and pay tribute. Otherwise, they kill you and your family as an “example” to everybody else. And they all kick back to the Governor.
Democrats want the entire world run like Chicago. And love it when the result looks like Somalia.
There’s a fine line between “ideologue” and “evil”, and this lot fell off it a long time ago.
