Pelosi stated how dare Trump say others, such as family members are without merit. Never mind that its your third cousin with no skills. Another Democrat flack said Trump was robbing Americans with skills such as doctors, engineers, etc. of jobs. Present prediction is that US doctor shortage may be from 40,000 to 90,000 by 2025. Democrats are idiots, but we knew that.

My great-grandfather brought the family over from Austria in 1917. He was a military surgeon. Even so they went through the quarantine and vetting process at Ellis Island. He set up a successful practice in Massachusetts, and in 1918, his oldest son, my Grandad, joined the Army and earned his citizenship.

    ” Trump only helps Americans”

And why not? He is the President of America (and no other country), elected by Americans (even though citizens and serfs from other countries cheated and attempted to have Hellary appointed instead).
But President Trump DOES help other peoples in other countries. By helping America, as a bonus, he helps others also.

Considering that Mexico and other Third World nations dump their “undesirables” and “excess population” across our borders, both to send money home (that their governments can tax) and to avoid having to make any changes in their failing cultures, you have to ask yourself; how much different would those countries be if they had no choice but to solve their own problems?

With the corollary; what happens when the United States runs out of things for them to loot?

As Margaret Thatcher said of socialism, eventually even international looters run out of other people’s money. The one thing they never seem to run out of is greed, for money, for power, or just for the destruction of anybody and everybody they don’t like.

They aren’t sending their “useless multitudes”- and their terrorists- here because they like us.

It is those pesky one million a year legal migrants who’ll vote RIGHT that she finds denigrating the word ‘merit!’ I wonder if Pelosi actually realizes that people who worked and stood in line for decades to legally enter, likely, at least all I have met, vote Republican.

Not the President of France, Not the President of Russia. Does anyone here think if Macron(French President, right?)was to actively work to better the lives of French Citizens, Frenchmen would be pissy about it? I mean, do you think a major portion of them would be crying out ‘What about the poor Germans?’

President Donald J Trump said ‘I want to Make America Great Again. How did the left and DNC respond? By screaming ‘Orange Man Bad! You people are racists!’ And my favorite ‘America was never great you fascists!’

Some years ago we filled out but did not remit Canada’s immigration form. All of the questions were to see if we would benefit Canada. They were specific to determine that an immigrant would not be a drag on their socialist system. You needed money to survive, an employment to serve yourself, speak English, French or Japanese depending on which part of the country you went to and so on. Each item was assigned points and you had to have enough to meet their expectations.
I was pretty excited to hear President Trump roll out a similar plan

There were honorable men and women, who fought for the Confederacy, mine included. However, the real backers were the wealthy plantation class and those who profited from same.
Democrats are reverting to type – founding a neo- Confederacy. California is the new South Carolina. Add, Oregon, Washington state and Hawaii to complete the set. New York state and the New England states are the new border states like Missouri, Kentucky and Maryland were.
The old confederacy possessed a small extremely wealthy class, a tiny middle class, slaves and large numbers of whites and free blacks in poverty. The cotton plantation owners and factors such as Lehman Brothers, who traded in cotton, made up the wealthy class. The small middle class included doctors, lawyers, larger shop owners and few others that catered to the wealthy. Slave labor depressed the wages of most others. Now, wealthy donors understand that hiring cheap labor is more cost effective than enslaving a person. Slaves tend to work only enough to keep from being punished and the slaver must care for them.
California’s wealthy class are mostly those in IT, show business and a few industries. Lawyers and doctors, who cater to the aforementioned, form the upper middle class. The wealthy use imported labor to depress IT wages at one end and unskilled labor to keep their mansions with well manicured lawns and spic and span – mimicking slavery of old. Use of such depresses the wages of a dwindling middle class.

Entirely accurate last paragraph; we know it because we see it.

We didn’t see the rest and generally just repeat “facts” that we have been told and “taught” for so long, that are mostly wrong.

We know the intents, agendas, and methods of Fascists of today and of their bought but willing serfs. But there is no comparison to slave owners and owned slaves of yesterday.

Then, the methods of mass production farming that had been used for decades in the Caribbean and South America were literally eating the lunch of independent small farmers here. So those methods of plantations and huge forced labor forces were adopted here and were hugely successful. It was this success and productivity that threatened and was so lusted after by the First Rino and his robber baron money men that when those productive states began to bristle at the taxation and control of their assets and sought to establish a new government to keep their own, a plan was hatched to force them to stay under central rule by any and all means necessary. Sound familiar? That’s because a similar scenario had played out a century or so before.

What was not similar was the slavery that made such production possible. No possible argument can be made to support the ownership, enslavement, and forced labor of humans, although attitudes throughout the world (including throughout the northern US) were different towards it then. But what amounted to the agri-business of the time not only was aware that it was wrong but was well on the way to adoption of mechanized methods that would eventually have phased out what would then be inferior and more costly, not to mention immoral use of slaves.

The secession of Southern states and the formation of an independent sovereign nation was not about slavery, it was about taxation and control. And the resulting Civil War like the Revolutionary War before it was to defend that independence. In his letters to his financiers and enablers the First Rino clearly admitted that he didn’t care about slavery and only about retaining the territory and the assets of the breakaway states. And in his supposedly seminal book about the war the supposed (and totally partisan) authority on it quotes thousands of the men who actually waged it and who on both sides of the line made little mention of slavery as the cause they fought for. Cites available.

We have been inculcated for so long that it is now “common knowledge” that war was waged and genocide was committed by an American president against what he claimed to be his own people, to “free the slaves”. But it just isn’t true. What is true is that the similarities in the 1760’s and the 1860’s are striking as to Americans breaking away from British rule to form a new nation and Southern Americans doing the same in breaking away from unfair central control of a government that no longer had their interest at heart and that they believed was intent on fleecing them, which of course they ultimately did.

The final shocker is that the Fascists of today in seeking the control and even demise of Deplorable types and the theft of their productivity do have a parallel in the Civil War. But it is that they are far more comparable to the actions and agenda of the evil and appropriation of cultures and pretense of concerns for them of the First Rino than to the attempted independence of the CSA.

If you declare war on Mexico and all of Central and South America, and then don’t do anything about it, then using the military at the border is no longer law enforcement, but repelling invaders. That gets around posse comitatus. Nobody said the invaders had to be armed or in uniform or male or over a certain age. Such a declaration might also let you label all illegals already in the country as enemies, allowing their immediate deportation.

Just because we’re having a war with Belize doesn’t mean we can’t go there for vacation, or import whatever they make that we want.

back to the point … we cannot do what Trump has actually been saying with Make America Great Again. He says Make America Great Again first. Then we can help others be great again where they are.
Merit based immigration is part of that.
We cannot shine the Light of Liberty on and across the world if we succumb to the planned and now being implemented invasion of the USA by those people in conditions that others intentionally put in placew over decades of manipulating international situations. Soros alone has financed the destabilization of many nations that he then used to suck billions from economies using various investments he put in place to do so after he destroyed economies.
The concepts of various nation states having local control and looking out or their nation state’s best interest avoids the inefficiencies, waste, corruption and totalitarian elites (loosely used) who gravitate to central corrupt areas to take corrupt power by controlling the activities of people from those central perches. Consider the damage done by central banks that finance the assets from the pockets and control of nations. Iceland and Hungary are two examples of nations that have banished foreign ownership and control of their central banks and thrive.
One takes the oxygen mask and puts it on your own face first. Then helps the others.
If we are a captive controlled economy, we cannot thrive and freely help others.

We cannot help make others great again if we are not great again.
So the enforcement of laws, the constitution, and protection of the USA.

The answer to the 45 steps to Communist control of America, as captured and published in the 1950’s and 1960’s, is 45.
President Donald J Trump – 45. And we put him there. Go Man Go! Continue to do the will of the American people.

Actually Viktor Orban, like Trump, is a product of his people.
The Magyar have survived thousands of years in harsh environments where many were violently murdered.
I have learned some things about my Hungarian Magyar roots. I find that I came to many logical common sense conclusions similar to many of them. (Pelosi and democrats using the words “common sense” mean everything but that. The words are a lie for them to “win” their evil proposals.)
Many of the Hungarians think like Viktor Orban. Many Europeans will hopefully also vote with those thoughts for the show horse European Parliament elections in about 10 days. The EU Parliament only debates and votes on laws presented to it them by the EU Commission. The EU Commission can still enact any laws the EU Parliament has rejected.
I can think and realize that my family and tribe and culture have been preserved in Hungary for over 1000 years after they bought the Carpathian Basin and moved there. My family has been on and around one mountain for over 800 years. That is some mind opening perspective. Today we have Eu leaders openly acting to destroy the way over 150 separate cultures in various areas with many language groups that comprise the diversity that is, and the enemy wants to be was, Europe.

Iceland still remembers that the USA occupied Iceland to preserve its strategic air access to Europe during WW2. A relative was married to a man whose first wife was a former President of Iceland. Iceland is upset that US about the US occupation, and the US was still upset that he refused to be drafted into military service back then after they shipped him and others to the USA. Vikings can be friendly but very harsh people to deal with. They do not want others. The fake fiat that almost destroyed Iceland and damaged Ireland when the bought Irish government made the people responsible for the bank debts of foreigners when the banks failed. Ireland is being planned for destruction by economic and migration invasion means now and in the next 20 years with Ireland 2040. Iceland said no after the government made the Icelandic people responsible for foreigners bank debts in Iceland. Icelanders threw the government out, repudiated the debt, and jailed many bankers. That use of fake money is a means of warfare these days. It is obvious to me that President Trump understands that and has used that possible evil means to strengthen the nation, bring back jobs, and help us survive a little better in any crash that may occur from the fiat situation. It is Iceland, and the Icelandic’s say who comes there.
They are infected with some of the European socialism, as all the Nordic countries have been.

“Present prediction is that US doctor shortage may be from 40,000 to 90,000 by 2025.”

And high-skilled immigration won’t change that, because the doctors guilds won’t give immigrant a doctors license, no matter how well educated they are or how long they’ve practiced in other countries.

The high-skilled immigrants that can actually use their skills are scientists and engineers. I’m an engineer myself, and I’ve worked with many immigrants already.

    1) Many of them are not educated to anywhere near the standards of my alma mater, which is a mid-range state land-grant school. Also, some expect to just supervise when it’s time to grab a wrench and get their hands dirty, which means they prefer not to do the entire job. OTOH, I’ve seen American engineering graduates that were badly educated and also didn’t know the difference between a box wrench and a pair of pliers. (That’s not something my school taught well. I learned because I was helping my Dad work under the family car by fetching the tools ever since I was four.) So you might hire an incompetent engineer regardless of where they got their degree, but it’s seemed to be more common with immigrants.

    2. More immigrant engineers would make it a little harder for me to find a job. OTOH, I’ve seen situations where planned expansions of operations were scaled back and 50 people not hired because they couldn’t find one or two good engineers to set up the manufacturing line. Those jobs went to Mexico or China instead, because they had the engineers – even though it seemed to take 5 of them to do what I would do myself, but they worked for so little that maybe the company still saved money.

Canada used to have merit-based immigration laws. Over the years, successive illiberal Liberal governments eroded the protections of those laws. Most recently, Trudeau the Younger made the immigration laws all but irrelevant by opening the floodgates to “refugees” whose only legitimate claim to such is having thrown away their citizenship documents and learned the word “refugee” is magic key to gain access to the Canadian welfare system.

MSN/WaPo really obfuscate things. WSJ got it in the first paragraph.

Australia’s conservative government eked out a surprise victory in Saturday’s national elections after voters in resource-rich districts turned against center-left opponents who had put climate change at the heart of their campaign.

Previously Australia was getting drier, the CAGW doomsayers said it was predicted and would get worse, lasting for centuries. So the government built many expensive desalinization plants. Then the deluges came, and turns out historically Australia normally has a long cycle where it naturally dries out for decades then the aquifers get recharged very quickly, then drying again, that was in the historical records. Many billions were spent on desalinization plants that’ve been mothballed since about 2012, although some are being used sometimes to keep reservoirs higher.

There was also the unpopular carbon tax. And the Eco-warriors are saying the desal is like insurance, GlobalClimateWarmingChange will dry everything out anyway, and there’s a bunch of other anti-carbon actions to take…

Enough Aussies were smart enough to not fall for the same crap again.

What? I thought Australia would be underwater because of Climate Warming Change Crisis?

California has the same drought and flood history. Archaeologists and climatologists warned, but were ignored. Greenies kept about six reservoirs from being built. Most of the recent flood waters are going out to sea, with the snow melt. Cali went from the golden state to the improvident proliferate.

The southern states seceded because of slavery. I’ve read six state proclamations stating why they seceded. Five gave slavery as their own reason. Texas, the sixth, gave slavery as one of their reasons. Failure of the federal government for protecting Texas borders was the other reason — including banditti south of the Rio Grande, renegades from the Oklahoma territory, and raiders from Missouri.

The Civil War was fought because the Union sent troops south.

“The Civil War was fought because the Union sent troops south.”

True that. When invaded, it is fight or die.

But why troops were sent South is the question.

Slavery was an important ongoing issue for a hundred years prior and with many aspects, but in terms of the war was mostly a pretext for forced control of territory and taxation.

The rights of people to self-determination and freedom from unfair central control is the constant from the RW to the CW to the SJW (social “justice” war) that we are facing now.

The reason for secession and for the civil war are separate. Most ignore or don’t know that.

        Correct.

Freedom as to the former and money as to the latter.

        Always follow the money.
