I have a co-worker, a Vietnamese refugee. It’s both fun and frustrating sometimes to explain what I’m saying.
And I REALLY, REALLY need to take him out a range for some shooting sometime. He still has never shot a gun.
I’m a Miami Beach refugee and I have shot a gun. And my mouth sometimes. I do not want a civil war. We must work harder and better and read Sun Tsu again (often).
I know a fellow refugee who hates memes and certain meaningless jokes and comments. She hates superfluous, as she defines it, statements and non facts. I believe that most euphemisms and colloquialisms fall into those categories. We all are different. She is well educated and with a very high IQ and could give Jo a run for the money on recall. She is a very good human being. (That doesn’t fit with Miami, I am afraid)
We are at a culmination that many have desired of destroying Western Civilization. People have worked for generations to get us here step by step, retracing some steps. The war has actually been going on for generations. Normalcy bias and perception management prevents many people from gaining awareness of that aspect of reality.
We all have chips and hells that we have had to endure. Some are planning to make more hells for people. There is our war.
Nobody will win a civil war, if we end up completely in one. There are too many outside nations, groups, and individuals that will jump in with great gusto and glee.
The end result would be the destruction of all we have here, and that will shatter the economy of the world in ways that cannot be measured now.

Certainly those we love can have an incremental effect and alter our beliefs and methods by attrition. Sometimes for the good and sometimes for the bad.
Ultimately it is up to us to decide which is which, keep our own counsel and make our own ultimate decisions.

Up until now they have had the grudging cooperation of the people but they are pushing hard to lose it. The Federal Government has little to no power on the local level and has been running a bluff for decades. Let’s see them herd a few million cats who don’t want to sit up and beg.
A law that says don’t rob people doesn’t work just because there is a Law, most of us don’t want to commit robbery, don’t kill people without good reason, same thing.
Passing a law that says “rub blue mud in your navel or else” is another thing all together and without our willing compliance just shows them to be impotent and their “orders” meaningless.
I believe “Gun Control” is a good thing, I control mine very closely and think you should control yours. I don’t trust THEM to control their bladders much less MY guns or yours. Register them? Thanks but I know which ones I have already and don’t see any advantage for me in giving someone I don’t trust that information.
If they want to hang me they are going to have to put the rope around my neck themselves, I’m not going to do it for them.

By the power of increased bureaucracy they will stop the shooting of abusive partners and gun cleaning accidents. Good to know. Our Beloved Governor (D) also has the usual laundry list, universal red flag continuous background checks with prompt reporting of lost or stolen guns safely stored in unusable condition separate from safely-stored approved ammo, as soon as the General Assembly allows it, which strangely tends to remain Republican controlled.
Might be able to do that tomorrow, CM visits an old friend of his Dad’s near here now and then, and said he might pop by for a beer, looking forward to it.
