Thanks for the flashback, CM. I considered it Don J.’s best role. I understand that a sequel was proposed with a female lead but the interest ($$$) wasn’t there. Would have been an interesting turn on the original story. Just watched it again on ROKU last month. It hasn’t lost its bite. Now, the sequel would be a hit in these trying times with the female lead and a cat (instead of a canine). Title it “A Girl and Her Pussy”. Box office GOLD !
Somewhere in my vast collection (a misspent youth), I have the graphic novel of A Boy and His Dog, illustrated by Richard Corben (Heavy Metal, Den). Good stuff, good times.
Oh look, a famous beloved Democrat politician is revealed to be a raging bigot whose policies caused the death of many thousands, perhaps hundreds of thousands and up, by staying close to a murderous regime that slaughtered its own citizens. And it’s not Barry O.
From a whole lengthy piece from WaPo essentially aplogizing in advance for their failure this coming Tuesday, in what could very well be taken as a prelude to the whinery we can expect a year from now. Actually quite accurate, especially telling is this little blurb:
“There are not local races anymore,” said Brad Chism, a Mississippi Democratic strategist who has been advising Hood. “Every doctor’s office, every gas station, every barber shop has a T.V. in it, and eight out of ten of those in Mississippi are airing Fox News … I am personally hopeful that local issues such as infrastructure, public education and transportation supersede this, but the thing about Trump is he just sucks up all the oxygen, every day.”
Damn right. Sucking up the oxygen from the whole lefty elite world, from the Dim candidates to the swamp to the airwaves. Suffocate you mother fuckers.
1. Repair and improve the drainage system to avoid tidal flooding.
2. Limit development, especially in flood-prone areas.
3. Expand the highway system to deal with the ever-increasing traffic volume due to the over-development downtown.
4. Get Columbia to cough up the funding to complete the I-526 beltway
Democrat Answers:
1&2: Keep the US from leaving the Paris Agreement to fight Climate Change and stop the flooding from rising waters.
3. Support public transportation, up to the eventual banning of private ownership of vehicles in favor of public fleets of electric autonomous cars.
4. We have another federal infrastructure plan that’ll take care of that, just as well as Obama’s $305 billion plan fixed practically everything the first time. And for only a trillion or so with all the Green union-endorsed upgrades!
Yup, it’s true, we need to use Febreze on clothes to stop being total hypocrites. Get some fine chicken wire and start making tumblers. And learn to make rag rugs and quilts.

“A Boy And His Gun” by Janes is my all-time favorite book, read at age 10.
Wonderful.
Point here being, I hope that doesn’t have to become a real-life movie.
Completely different use of the skills and lessons it contains, but many of them would apply.
It would make the apocalyptic nature of the Dawg movie seem tame by comparison.
Liking the fall back to real time, which lets me read my ‘toon before a decent bedtime, ironically possible due to the permanent DBD adherence to DST.
So when are the kids get a pet?

You should’ve seen the robo-dobermans in one episode of the new series “emergence”.
never saw the movie. But read the story.
The movie isn’t bad….a very early Don Johnson. The story is far stronger, to my way of thinking at least.
Safety first, ladies… the bot is right…
Although I expect Sam is packing, it’s hard to have much ammo in that skimpy dress.
I’d like to see what Arnie and the pooch are packin’
Kinky……..
Rather an odd-to-us, macabre twist at the end of said movie. A potential double entendre waiting there…
I haven’t read that story in many years….thank you for bringing me happy memories…

thanks for the Ellison reference!
Movie was OK, but having read Harlan Ellison’s story first it was a bit of a letdown. Don Johnson lacked some of the grit that Vic had.
I liked Harlan’s short story better that the movie anyway.
And for your holiday reading pleasure, “Santa Claus VS S.P.I.D.E.R.”
“I can’t say much for her personality……but she had marvelous taste.”

Historian: New evidence shows FDR’s bigotry derailed many Holocaust rescue plans
In his book about Franklin Roosevelt and the Holocaust, Rafael Medoff finds links between the US president’s anti-Japanese stances and his policies against Jews fleeing Hitler

1. Repair and improve the drainage system to avoid tidal flooding.
2. Limit development, especially in flood-prone areas.
3. Expand the highway system to deal with the ever-increasing traffic volume due to the over-development downtown.

Wear Clothes? Then You’re Part of the Problem
Making, washing and tossing apparel has a big environmental cost.
Blood to Vic (aka “Albert”): “Well, I’d certainly say she had marvelous judgment, Albert … if not particularly good taste.”
