I”ve gotten that ‘sending too fast’ a few times, too. It seems to me that sometimes the system registers a single click as a double.

Got into a mental argument with myself about the kinetic energy release of a Sea Sparrow vs the one they were using. Just from mass and speed, the Sparrow packs an extra 814 million+ Joules of energy upon impact. And by definition, explosive energy is when the shock front exceeds the speed of sound. Sparrow plows in at mach 3+.
The C-802 ripoff does maybe 0.9 mach tops with easily twice the warhead but a fraction of the energy release of a Sparrow.

Eisenhower’s approach to dealing with the Soviet Union reflected his skill at playing poker, and long after his death we “busted ’em up”.
Everyone knows you can ruin an empire through wars, but I’m hard put to think of an instance of just plain bankruptcy doing the job.
