They are trained in circus environment, adapted to a surreal world. So even when there IS direct cause-to-effect relation, and skin in the game and they are not observed, so no way non-compliance will bite their tail, the circus monkeys keep pulling the same lever. That’s just what they are trained to do.
But the sad thing is — if you think there’s something strange about them? Everyone here fantasizing about a miraculous “republic” that totally waits to manifest in flesh and brick if you wish just a little bit longer and a little bit stronger is in a boat of exactly the same model.
There are several quite obvious reasons why it’s… not adequate. No doubt, a few less-obvious as well.
Yes, you are much less deluded on a few things — for example, you don’t have to fool yourselves as to which one is the under-dog, and which one is the over-dog. But that’s about it.
What an ignorant and fatalist view; “fantasy, inadequate, deluded, foolish“…many said the same of conflicts with monarchies past, mostly out of pure personal cowardice…and in some cases a hidden loyalty to the oppressors I think.
To say resistance of Communist control and separation from it is futile and we should meekly accept the fate of us, the eloi is that it?
Which is to say that those who decided enough was enough and threw off the bonds of suffocating control in the 1760’s and again bravely if unsuccessfully in the 1860’s (would we be back in this grasp of benighted and ill-intentioned city-dwelling elites and their mongrel thugs if things had gone differently then?)
More recently our parents saved the world because they were not cowardly…not a big FDR fan but when push came to shove he got one thing right…and the quote went further than the oft-quoted part…
“Let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is…fear itself — nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance.“
Then as now. Let them have their teeming cities of literal and virtual sewage and their deep and deadly swamp…we will take our freedom and our Constitution and our beliefs and our assets, and defend our newly defined borders either by peaceful separation and agreement or by force and armed defense.
The Constitutional Republic of America awaits for those like-minded among us who are not cowardly and will not accept an assigned role of secondary status or cancellation of our culture…and will fight for it and our freedom as our brave forbears fought for theirs.
Man up or just crawl away, the choice is ours.

Which brings us straight to the most obvious flaw. Even if we assume for a moment that the entire air castle mythology makes sense and is even true, this leaves a simple and inescapable point: that “eternal vigilance” thing is not a solution, it’s a problem — specifically, a technical contradiction.
Because you cannot be eternally vigilant. You need to sleep. Likewise, the whole peoples observably gets tired and sleepy. This problem was not solved, so what happened was the predicted result of not finding a way to implement the impossible once more.
And without eternal vigilance any nostalgia for this particular path is just so: nostalgia. Things went downhill already. Now even if you somehow could push them a little up the hill on the exact same path, you would be merely imitating Sisyphus. Sooner or later you’d be out of breath, and it rolls downhill right over you.
Or in biological terms: leftism is adaptive. Obviously, it already have adapted to yesteryear’s “silver bullet” cures. Thus replicating these is useless at best, and gives advantage to the infection at worst.

Worked in Ft. Worth, Texas, for three years. Like the place, folks were friendly and food was good and cuisines varied. However, as a southerner, beef ain’t barbeque. Not that what Texans turn out isn’t good. But, real barbeque involves a total commitment by a pig.
Never heard of using sheep for BBQ. Not knocking it but just never heard of it.
Agree with interventor I am a pork fan. Really great when you got the hog split and opened up face down. GREAT. Not tried the beef either so I can’t knock it either. Used to kill a hog about every other Saturday and cook for the friends and family. Have plenty of beer on hand and most of the guys were half done by the time we turned the pig over.

Some of the best I ever had was BBQ beef brisket chopped and served on a huge bun with Brunswick stew and cole slaw on the side, corn on the cob and Texas garlic toast…..maybe some southern style green beans….French Fries optional….My Grandfather used to be the cook at an old BBQ joint in South Daytona called Buck’s Barn, back in the 50’s…..unfortunately, he took his recipe for sauce with him….he could only make it 5 gallons at a time, but it was the best….to this day I’ve never tasted anything like it….totally unique….
Native Texans recognize that any meat can be barbecued. That’s why we barbecue beef, pork, poultry, goats, venison, antelope, elk, sheep, fish, rattlesnake, crab — if it’s meat, we barbecue it.
We refuse to limit ourselves to only pork. We just happen to like beef best of all.
And frankly, the absolute worst I’ve ever eaten was that Carolina mess where they chuck vinegar all over a pig and call it barbecue. Not even.
According to Sydney Powell’s map of the ACTUAL pre-Steal electoral college tally, CA is now a Red State. Perhaps the only thing keeping Austin from going off of the edge is that it is the state Capitol and the conservative Republicans who dominate the state can influence state policies to keep the city’s leftists from getting too carried away.
I recently watched a Lara Logan report via FNC about socialism and she mentioned a socialist bookstore in Austin that serves as a HQ and meeting/training place for Antifa/BLM types.
Expecting Republicans, over and over again, to deliver a different result than conceding and acquiescing to the Left is, indeed, insanity.
If we’ve learned one big thing since Nov. 3 it’s how threatening the America First agenda has been to the GOP. And with all the back-stabbing and collusion with The Coup, almost understandable that Trump would want to walk away from it all.
Yep… although Dan Bongino offers a coherent argument for taking control of the GOP from within rather than creating a third party…
Canada has the same problem, if not worse, despite being multi-party. The two biggest parties are the Liberals and the Conservatives. Then there’s the NDP, the Greens and the People’s Party.
The Liberals aren’t even close to liberal; they’re progressive (at least). Trudeau the Younger is pulling the party and the country hard left.
The NDP used to be the hard-left party marginalized by their socialism… but the Liberals did an end-run around them to the left, leaving the NDP trying to figure out what they can do to out-Marx the Liberals. It’s ugly.
The People’s Party… an unfortunate name to be sure, was formed by a disgruntled former Conservative Party leadership candidate who got fed up with the Liberal-Lite consultants and party insiders shooting down every actual conservative suggestion… so he decided to create a new party. Naturally, the worst of the right piled in so they’re represented in the media as being the Neo-Nazi White Supremacy Party…
The Conservatives are much like the Republicans… a mix of social, fiscal and libertarian conservatives. The fuckwits running the party keep proposing Liberal-Lite policies and trying to kiss the media’s ring… and keep getting shocked when the media treats them badly.
The current leader ran promising to be conservative… and as soon as it was established that he was leader, he turned left…
Halley: Politicians want power. Why else would they go into politics? Leftist policies give them more power.
So the only thing they want to have different between the parties is which powers they give themselves _next_. But while the Democrats have followed a consistent power-seeking path for a long time, the Republicans have occasionally had someone break ranks and try to allow a little freedom – Taft, Goldwater, Reagan, and the Tea Party. They suppressed the Tea Party as an organization, but it left behind a lot of more-or-less Republican voters who want smaller government. So the Republican establishment has become very skilled at working towards bigger government while pretending to do the opposite. Trump is no better at heart than the average power-seeker, but when the establishments of both parties rejected him, he tapped into the discontent among the Republican voters. And the establishments of both parties plus the news media conspired to crush him…
However, most of the guns in this country still belong to citizens. Are the politicians going to make us use them?

Seven are 2.5 percent or above. For the 25 red states the average is 1.4 percent. Only two of the red states are over 1.7 percent. The same two are over 2.0 percent. Worse Red States Fatality Rates: Louisiana and Mississippi (2.2 each). Clearly, if one wishes to live, keep clear of Democrat run states.

It reminds me of the situation in New York State where I lived most of my life, that of Downstate and NYC dominating the elections and getting stuck with scumbag Andrew Cuomo as Governor for three terms!
And his handling of the covid scam has been a model since Day One, successful as hell in spite of them, and they hate him for it.
Wonder which side of the line our gov will be on in the Constitutional Republic of America? Wonder if DT will join him there…I mean they’re in walking distance to meet up and hatch some plans.
