Sorry, Jack, it did not go through. Mail it in , perhaps? The bulk of
the rejections (about 2%) are from patrons’ banks, not the DBD
side. Banks are picky these days.
I also get a Trojan warning, malwarebytes has always stopped it, but
there must be some machines with inferior virus recognition that may
become infected.
My comp gets scanned by WEBROOT at least once a day, and nothing detected. The prescans may be blocking anything hostile before it can download. My donation seems to have got thru OK. C’mon folks! This is a RECOVERING economy! The price of a night at the movies will get a Naomi or Sam/Zed level! Save the gas and be entertained and informed for a year!
I wouldn’t do without Pops. My musical hero, and a good man. Yeah, he played the blues, but really made his way with “hot” jazz. Satchmo (or Satch) was short for his old nickname, Satchelmouth. Only time I know of him recorded as using the long version was toward the beginning of High Society, when he was being as formal as a New Orleans musician is likely to get.
In other news, Brave is giving me no trouble at all with this site.

Immediately brings to mind the theme credit for the original and second version theme songs for the ’60s TV show “Lost in Space.” It was for “Johnny Williams.” He later dropped the “ny.”
He was a trumpet player, as well as singer. Blowing the trumpet can weaken cheek muscles. Causing the mouth to ballon out when playing. Hence, satchelmouth.

Chris, I love the new Pens in the Merchandise. I remember them from when I was a kid. Loved them then, but with your art inside, love them even more now.
Heh. I dropped my shekel in the jar at the beginning of the drive after Chris got his snags out, and he called me to see if the payment processing went smoothly (it did except boa sent me a fraud warning and asked me to verify the purchase). Since I’ve got a pretty good stash of haul already (and since my old retired ass doesn’t pull down the big bucks anymore, limiting my contribution to a c-note), I chose “no merch”.
Then those nudie pens…well, they are a fond reminisce for me; my Dad’s number one giveaway premium in his wholesale agricultural tire business back in the 60’s-70’s was his “stripper pens”, which true to their name would shed clothes when turned over. A distant second were the glass ashtrays inserted into a realistic miniature rubber (Goodyear) tire, and a risque ad message on the bottom, they love those too. Remember this was a different time when men were men and women were often nekkid, and all was right with the world. Well, not all, but that part anyway.
So when I finished this whine to Chris he finished our conversation by saying I’d still be getting a nudie pen even though I had checked no merch. Such a good guy.

Hmmmmm……I’ll have to check my bank to see if my donation went through……or not. I didn’t have any problems at the time.
Thx for the heads up on any stops.
I keep getting spam/malware that pretends to be from DBD. So far I have deleted it, but it just reappears next day. I wonder if this is part of the attack?

Bigfoot made records?
Heh … “Satchmo” could be slang for Mo Sasquatch!
But that was Armstrong’s nickname.
He did have a big foot in the recording industry though …
Maybe there ought to be a Bigfoot Blues and/or a Sasquatch Serenade
No, different … person.
Isn’t “Sahmo” playing with the “Supremes”?
“Satchmo”
Was Louis Armstrong a leftist? I like him, What a Wonderful World is a great song. And loved his gravelly voice!
Chris – Technical issue
When I come to this page, my Malwarebytes throws up a “Trojan Detected” window. Domain free.xjs.lol

Something enroute, Chris, no gift needed. Thanks for what you do here.
Trojans? Are we talking ribbed, party pack or extra large…

Those pens were the first idea I had for DBD merch, but nobody made ’em. Finally located a Denmark source.
