That Law of Lesser Magistrates is very useful to enable people to enforce the law of the land in areas that they are empowered.
VP Pence asserted that he had no power in his position as President of the Senate and VP when he counted the State electors. Pence claimed that he was only acting as a clerk and only counting.
That also means that any action can be corrected Nunc Pro Tunc if any error in the count is properly made. Errors by incorrect information given to a clerk and entered into the government records have been correctable in the records for centuries.
So many people have lost respect for those and other government employees by the government agents outrageous actions. People know when their rights have been violated.
They are still subject to the laws of Gunpowder and the existing political entities. No matter their assertions.
Y’know? In a proper society, justice takes precedence over laws. We knew this when we made the lawyers subordinate to a justice… They call that a department of justice like the Norks call their country a people’s democratic republic. Lipstick or not, it’s the same pig.
It depends on how blatant the fraud. If there are no consequences to getting caught stuffing ballots, they no longer need to worry about getting caught, and they learned there were no consequences in 2016.
Detroit didn’t steal enough votes to stop Trump’s win in Michigan, and the Green Party (!) demanded a recount. The preliminary stages of that are validating all the ballot boxes. In Detroit, 26 percent failed validation – no seals, broken seals, missing signatures on the seals, or the number of ballots was incorrect. Suddenly the courts stopped the recount, and nothing else happened. The same people were counting the ballots in 2020, and will be counting them in 2022.

They would just claim that some of these clowns were Trump appointees, while refusing to acknowledge that he would hire and fire people based on performance, and just hadn’t gotten to them yet…

Somebody once said that the “rule of law” and the “rule of lawyers” are two very different things.
And that the whole point of the Constitution was to establish the former and avoid the latter.
