I’m not holding my breath as NYC tends to dictate political leanings for the rest of New York but I also know many are getting tired of the catch and release of violent criminals so we may see an upset in a few weeks.

Two things about the Dark Ages:
1. They weren’t Dark for all of Europe. Byzantium carried on the Roman tradition, albeit as a Christian instead of pagan state.
2. They lasted so long for the rest of Europe because information was lost. Illiteracy killed the ability to read whatever was left of ancient wisdom (in the west) and the oral tradition died with the bearers of that knowledge. He can appeal but he can’t take the gun and the seller who has already been paid for it can’t get it back…as it stands right now, the FFL would end up owning it. This is pure ignorance about what the exemption actually is and what is entailed and the huge sacrifice in ending it…most notably the creation of a paper trail and government record of what was heretofore your private property in your private hands and without the knowledge or permission of anybody especially government. Back to a slight amount of logic and reason, even if still missing the primary point of giving up a historical and codified right and subjecting our possessions and ourselves to confiscation and disarming…

Wonder if the serial number on that rifle matches any of the thousands bought for every gov’t dep’t going ? or one from the ‘Fast and Furious’ scheme…
Seems almost every shooting for the past number of years stinks like a beached two-week-old carp.
I have a good retirement and cannot afford to just run out and get an AR let alone what 600 rounds of ammo would cost. The materials a few of those previous shooters “bought” would pay my mortgage for a year.
