When I’m in a SHTF situation, everything cranks down tight, and it’s only later, when it’s all done and the adrenalin wears off, that I suddenly have this urgent need…
Haji recoded a 60 inch vertical leap and was clocked at 4.1 seconds in the 40-yard dash as he was leaving the diner. However, he chunked in a zero on the Wonderlic Test and failed to do a single rep with 225 pounds in the bench press. So, no NFL draft for him.
“Ironically, I still can’t sit here.” Damon is beaming with pride and Jan just rolled her eyes.
JTC, I haven’t got an explanation. Among my suggestions to Chris was to have a get together of the young’ uns of DBD to provide their perspective on the world. Last year it was Javier and the twins making Xir’s day. That ice cream parlor hasn’t been the same since.
On more than one occasion, I might of sucked the seat cushion right off my Martin Baker ejection seat. Might have been a time or two that included the entire seat pan. At least I knew where my life raft and a lot of my survival gear was, if I had to eject.
The djinn in their true forms are gigantic black beings complex of eye and wing and can shape-shift. Find that ring of Solomon and you could command such beings to do your will.
I must be slow this morning. I don’t get it. What’s the black blob? How did Javier get there, Why is he standing behind haji? Why is hagi wearing those bright clothes? Sorry. Can anyone smarter than me explain?
It’s a projected holograph image that happened to be projected RIGHT where the guy was standing. The black blob is part of the Javier’s leg showing through the Hagi’s body.
Shooter 2.5 and CDR 215 Javier apparently has developed Star Trek level hologram technology. The black blob is just his leg and higher up his arm. I do wonder when he had the time to install emitters at the diner. Where else might he have placed them? Plus the fact that he can also see and hear his surroundings could lead to some interesting situations…the Swimmin’ Hole immediately jumps to mind! Hope the lad continues to use his powers for good.
This seems to be more like Transporter technology than Holodeck technology.
This makes sense since projecting an insubstantial image at range should be far easier than a physical object.
…so, is Tesla Motor liable for those idiots that got injured in the cold because Lithium Ion battery capacity drops to about 80% at 0°C?
With 800,000+ power outages in the Northeast. Good luck charging your car.
On the plus side, if you are stranded out in the cold, you may be able to hammer a screwdriver through the battery and start a fire. There could be enough energy left in it to spark a battery fire.

I would imagine that “haji” is STILL running, well on his way back to the sand by the trans-Antarctic route. How many of his compatriots are right there with him?

There are times it takes awhile to be able to un-attach yourself from a vehicle seat. No chance to stain anything with both sides in a death pucker.

If a battery pack gets ‘injured’, Lithium plus oxygen plus lithium plus nitrogen results in a big bad seen from space-type fires.
From what I’ve seen of recent EV fires, you could probably start one just by peeing in the right place.
