Trump didn’t realize that; he knew they were useless junk and so thought giving them up was a great gimmee diversion without giving them anything that anybody wants.
But the grabbers got him (and us) because they did realize the things were not the thing, the classification was. Carte blanche for search and seizure of every place and every thing you own based on felony possession of one of them as their key to warrantless search, no swatting required.
So yeah, go ahead and “register” them, along with your mg’s, your mufflers, etc etc. because now they know they’re there you bunch of damn felons! And let’s not forget the little paper(s) you filled out down at the friendly gun store/gov agent detailing what where and when you started or added to your collection; those 4473’s and that NICS are registration. What? They promised to destroy all that after a few days, just wanted to be sure your all legal right? Right, you buncha damn felons…and all it took to make you one was the stroke of a pen.
No, they won’t come to your door for that. But if some friendly foe does get you swatted or if they come to or interact with you for anything, that felony status is their key to your life, or ending it.
I like that judge. Finally one willing to say, hey, what were those branches of the government again? If agencies make the laws, what do we need them for?
Registering. Few years back bought el cheapo bb pistol at a San Antonio Wal Mart. Cashier in all earnestness told me 3 times I had to ‘Register’ it. Being one to avoid senseless confrontation I just ‘Yes, ma’am’d’ her… and ‘blessed her heart’ when leaving.

Sounds like they’ve stopped “advising” and started “meddling.” They are messing with forces beyond their ken…
I also don’t understand their lazer-like focus on F-150’s; Chebbies, GMCs and Dodges are of the same size.
“When they came for the F-150s, I said nothing, because I drive GM.”

As far as I can see, the only thing those are good for is turning money into noise a little faster…which can be fun but not very practical unless firing intoa large crowd…like a country ‘music’ concert that’s probably a mostly non-woke audience…oh wait, the news dropped that like a hot potato so it must not mean anything.
Accurate ‘rapid’ fire in repetition scores many more hits than a spray-and-pray mag dump…except in the movies which is where most leftards get their firearms ‘knowledge’ from.
Full auto is for keeping heads down temporarily, repetition is for putting them down permanently.
All that said, it’s my money and I’LL decide how fast I want to turn it into noise, not some gov’t agency.
Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives- – – – -that sounds like a good name for a convenience store- – – – -not an unconstitutional government agency!
Booze, butts, bang and boom, Aisles 1,2, 3, and 4, respectively of your local alcohol, tobacco, firearms, and explosives emporium. As the Senior would have it.
The Senior would likely deem this society lost; the supposed Civil Servants have too long deemed themselves to be Civil Masters. But we have no new planets to escape to, so we have to try and regain what has incrementally been stolen from us.
But now the bump stock rule has been determined to be unconstitutional, of course all those that gave up their property won’t be restored and worse yet, those that pushed the unconstitutional rule through will not be punished!
I’m looking forward to this pistol brace thing ending the GCA and NFA control over SBR’s completely by instantaneously bringing them under the “common use” precedent for 2nd amendment protections. If 40 million isn’t “common use“ it’s hard to imagine what is.
I was in a gun store yesterday and they still had pistols with braces for sale as normal pistols, that has to change in an instant when the rule is published but apparently that instant hadn’t happened yet. As for me, I removed the brace, cut it in half and that’s that. The pistol in question still functions as it did before, I didn’t buy it for the brace, it just didn’t come any other way.

Do you have to be a diety to ideate? And isn’t the density of oathbreakers approaching critical mass in the swamp? I think the congresscritters are going to wake up one morning and find out six seals have already broken.
Since it’s the Swamp, why aren’t the Gators and other Critters cleaning it up?
They should be mighty famished by now what with their WEF friends pushing fake meat and all.
Question for the room,
I somehow got on the mailing list for “Common Cause”. I stay for the entertainment value. Lately they have their knickers in knots over “more and more States calling for a Constitutional Convention”. Outside of their crap, I’ve heard nothing about this. Of course, I work 60 hours a week and have a wife in cancer treatment, so I might be distracted. Can someone enlighten me?
There is a movement to get two-thirds of the States to sign on to have a convention to add more amendments to the Constitution. Supposedly they can only work on certain proposals, but we all know they lie beyond belief. There are other restrictions you should look up. I think they would shaft us all so bad we would end up worse than North Korea. Remember, google and wiki-opinion-pedia are Not your friends. Just my opinion.
Yes, the last time, the convention was just supposed to fix some problems with the Articles of Confederation and that’s how we got our present Constitution.
Won’t get fooled again…
Well, Kafiroon, I have to disagree with you big time on the Convention of States project. It’s a real grass roots effort to put some stops to federal overreach. Term limits, balanced budget, hard limits to fed powers. Some really good people leading the charge. Mark Levin was the inspiration for it. Read “The Liberty Amendments”.
The only people terrified by this are the lefties.
What you say is going to be voted on and what finally becomes the new law are very often two completely different things. We’ve seen it up here time and again where what seems like a good idea at first glance is perverted so badly in it’s wording that it does the exact opposite in practice…as it was intended to all along. Our ‘constitution; for example…there’s nothing in it that specifically says the gov’t has to follow it so they don’t,.
Not true. At all. Remember, the last time such a convention was convened, they were just there to buff up the Articles of Confederation.
Everybody goes in with good intentions, but once the doors close, anything can happen, and who do you trust in today’s world to faithfully work on your behalf? And if you can think of a few, are there enough?
Remember and look up a thing called the New States Constitution. Worked up by the Ford Foundation way back in the last century (60s, maybe). It’s ready and waiting for a gullible nation to call a convention.
Not true. This conservative thinks it’s dangerous hogwash.
We laugh at the people who think additional gun laws are the solution to the problem of criminals ignoring the gun laws. Then we turn around and decide the solution to Swampies ignoring the constitution is to put even more things in the constitution. Neither one of those approaches will ever get the burrs out of your saddle blanket. You just have to sit down and pick them out, one by one.
Just for the kismet in the blogocartoonosphere I was polishing up my BP Ruger single action last night. Heavy SOB I’ll tell ya. It was a fan fire trick shot artist piece in a previous life. The sights and hammer spur are lead filled and smoothed over from what must have been tens of thousands of shots. It’s a wee might loose for a hog leg and it sits in a period holster in my pretty wife’s desk drawer. Looks scary as hell though.
Judge Kerry Neves is a native Texan, born in San Angelo, Texas in 1950. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1969 until 1972, and was discharged as a Sergeant. He returned to Texas for college and law school, and has lived in Galveston County for 33 years.
About the ‘Constitutional Convention’ which may
have been mentioned above; It is a double edged
sword; a possibility could exist where a motion
would be offered to eliminate some of the existing
Amendments: that pesky 2nd amendment, not to
mention the 1st amendment which allows one to
make disparaging remarks. Jis sayin.
So you all believe with a majority of red states, with each state having 1 vote, the left is going to rule? No way in hell 2/3s of the states are going support stronger fed government. Those -$#$$#@ John Birchers are pissing in the soup, and trying to kill the only possible way to get our country back without taking to the ditches. If you know a better way, I’m all ears.
One more comment on ‘Constitutional Convention’ if I may.
How many true Conservative Republicans voted for the Democrat’s slush fund $1.7 trillion fiscal 2023 omnibus spending bill?
Red States would spend their one vote about the same.

A poetic twist on the old c-store saw, Fox, I like it!
I like the alliteration rhyme scheme in the Sagas. Try reading Beowulf in the original Old English.
Registering bumpstocks? First I’ve heard of it. I knew about the brace amnesty, but haven’t heard a thing about bumpiboiz.
Deadline’s long gone — owners had to turn them in (for no compensation) or prove they were destroyed.
But now the bump stock rule has been determined to be unconstitutional, of course all those that gave up their property won’t be restored and worse yet, those that pushed the unconstitutional rule through will not be punished!

Open that can of worms and just watch the snakes come crawling out.
Leave the Constitution the fuck alone and adopt it wholecloth for the CRA, the Constitutional Republic of America, it’s right there in the name!
Until then, your ‘convention” will go just like your “election”.
