I think this might be my new opening sentence when talking to any politician, “I wouldn’t vote for you if you were the only one running” is getting stale. If you smile and shake their hand while saying it, they’ll think it means something good.
They’d never get by themselves and probably even think it sounded profound enough to parrot it to a superior without bothering to check a translation first 🙂

Merchant ships used well paid professionals who were paid a bonus for reaching a port sooner than usual. Egyptians uses slaves on their Nile boats. Spanish used galley slaves.

Best yet to describe “That durn Hoss Thief” Schiff. Thanks, Chris. And I agree with Zed, We were used. Didn’t use to be so. They have twisted the Constitution like a Philly Soft Pretzel (Yummy, too. BTW) for their own ways. I feel disheartened and also DAMN PISSED at the same time. Thanks again, many times for the strip. That, the pen, and the bookmarks help this Soul get on with their day.
shiffty should be brought up on espionage charges and sentenced to a long drop on a short rope, along with a good many others on both sides, but we all know that once that game starts the media will be deluged with ‘leaks’ real or imagined against every senior republican that allege even more insidious things, like voting for Trump or saying ‘bama was wrong about anything.
Problem is, they’d likely be right, you don’t get to any level of political power as a career politician without selling yourself to the highest bidder.
That’s why ‘outsiders’ who don’t owe the powers behind the powers anything are needed to sort this mess out once but that’s not going to happen. Anyone independently wealthy enough to do it owes somebody something along the way and no matter how trivial it’d be blown out of proportion by the bought and paid for media, or just made up if necessary, nobody reads retractions.
Trump was a good start but as a businessman dealing in real estate there’s always going to be someone saying he paid someone under the table to beat a zoning law, or gave them a free round of golf or somesuch thing. He probably did, but it seems he did it legally which is why he’s only a billionaire and not a multi-billionaire 😉
If you start counting from 1988 when Rush began nationally, we’ve now had a full 1/3 of a century of alternative media, but the DC Mordor Crime Syndicate is more firmly entrenched than ever, planning as we speak their next horrific crisis – be it nuclear, economic, biological, internet black-out, military, whatever – that we peons must submit to. Just saying – is it time for alternative media to re-evaluate its tactics?
