Requirements to be US President, IIRC (without peeking):
Minimum 35 y.o, and a native born US citizen (that SHOULD have left O’Bozo out, but……).
That’s about it.I
Correct me if I’m wrong.
There have been several attempts to add “must have a law degree”, but they tend to not get added.
Somebody always points out that several Presidents, such as Washington, Grant, Andrew Jackson, and both Roosevelts (T.R. and FDR) were not members of the bar.
Mostly, that provision is advocated in the hope of keeping another Reagan out of the Oval Office.
I could see adding “must *not* have a law degree.”

Must have lived in the US for the preceding 14 years, a not served more than two full terms as President. A full term being defined as two years and a day. THeoretically, someone could serve 10 years as President, two full terms of their own, plus two years minus one day as successor to a President who left office.
I was expecting Sino Joe to be bumped out somehow after two years and a day. For exactly that reason. I guess whoever is pulling his strings wasn’t willing to give up control of the Oval Office.

Theoretically then, a President could serve indefinitely with the occasional one-day ‘vacation’, or until the public got tired of their replacement appointing them as VP then retiring after a day in office and voted them both out. But as we’ve seen, little things like the people not voting for you don’t really matter at 3AM.

Not native born, but a “natural born citizen” of the United States.
You are partially wrong about President Obama. Historically, “natural born citizen” is conveyed either by physical birth in the territory of the United States, or if either blood parent is a citizen of the United States at the time of birth. President Obama’s mother was a citizen when she gave birth, presumably in Hawai’i. But even if the birth was in Kenya, as some have alleged, his mother’s citizenship convey “natural born citizen” to President Obama. Oh, and before everybody starts shooting at me, I voted against him twice. I just try to be factually accurate in my criticisms of those I oppose.
Since OHB’s mother was only 18 when he was born, she wasn’t old enough to confer citizenship on him.
I read that on the internet in 2015 so it must be true.

Was the laws of nations book Benjamin Franklin bought three copies in the original French that two were in Constitution hall for the use of delegates at the constitutional convention at Independence hall the controlling law concerning the natural or citizen definition. Ben always had the third copy. Or is the definition from English books.
And there are other considerations. Was obama’mama in the US enough time before the birth of Obama ? The commentary on support of his eligibility had no concern for the truth in the matter. So…
I wish they would add “can not be over 65 years old to be elected, must have served honorably in the military for a minimum of 4 years* to be eligible to run”. I would also be fine with a “may be a Naturalized Citizen for at least 25 years” as well to qualify.
Also all elected officials should have to swear the oath on the Constitution
* less time is fine if Medically retired, (but not for PTSD)
“Also all elected officials should have to swear the oath on the Constitution”
They already do, but they’ve been allowed to ignore that bit in practice at least since Woodrow Wilson’s time.
It’s been argued that Lincoln violated that part during the Civil War (suspension of habeas corpus), and that even George Washington himself did so (Whiskey Rebellion).
It’s certain that every Democrat President from FDR on has simply ignored that proviso in the endless progressive quest for The Radiant Future.
All Government Employees also take that oath. The only person that takes a different one is the President of the United States (It is similar however).

Maybe it’s time to break out some of those lawyer jokes, such as …
Q. What do you call a dumb lawyer?
A. Your Honor.
Q. What do you call a crooked lawyer?
A. Congressman.
