Congrats Chris, to you and to us, wish I could have participated up to the level of value I receive from this place, some biz changes might mean more next year. Which makes one wonder; what will this place and the world around us be like thing? Praying to God for the best, doing my best to prepare for the worst.
Willow Run, that’s some serious B-24 production if I recall. From a west Texas cotton farm to Burbank, CA Mom built P-38’s and later worked for Kelly Johnson, through the U-2 and retired as the SR-71 went in service. Later said it was the happiest time of her life. She went back to Texas at the start of the Fall of California and never saw what it is now, thank God.
Huh. My dad did his training in Texas (where he met my mother) and repaired P-38s in France. Interesting to think they might have worked on the same aircraft.
Momma spent her formative years bolting props on USN PB4Y patrol bombers. On a slightly different note: Ah, to be in the shade of those mighty peaks. Relaxing….
If we had an honest main stream press, this election would be more lopsided than Reagan vs. Mondale. The left have picked the most radical left wing ticket in our history. Without the press hiding it from the masses it would already be over and Trump would be up 40points.

What!? And Zed’s “big gun” doesn’t count?

The community that is DBD, on both sides of the fourth wall, never ceases to amaze me.
It’s been a rough year financially, but every little bit helps. Now, let’s head to the polls and vote.
My mother actually worked at the Willow Run assembly plant during WWII.
Now that you mention it, my mother built Hellcats at Grumman.
I am so glad Zed and the Ladies survived. Lookin’ over that fourth wall, Chris Muir is from my local neighborhood.

Thanks Chris for carrying on.

Is there going to be a celebration in the swimming hole? Inquiring minds…
