Like the Nexus-6 replicants in Bladerunner who have a limited four-year lifespan, it seems like 250 years is about the maximum lifespan any society/country/culture/whatever in history can survive intact and functioning. I applaud the person or group that was able to hack the Hezbo phone tree and cause all those pagers to go ‘splody. (what did they do? cause the battery to reverse charge and explode? Can’t see much in a pager that would go “boom!”)
Depends on where they bought them and more importantly, who put them out for sale 🙂
Something like this was probably long in the planning and the most popular vendors selling them are likely long gone…a little strip of detasheet behind the battery waiting for the right signal would work well and the fun part is that terrorists are the most prolific users of cell phones and pagers as triggers, this looks good on them and it seems a lot of them were looking at the screen when it off hinting at a slight delay from that ‘special’ call.
An unintended consequence may be to drive them away from electronic devices that are increasingly being used against them and back to runners hand carrying encrypted messages, slower but more secure…that is until someone figures out who the runners are and tracks their movements 🙂

When it comes to the “Why?” of all the illegal invader migrants worldwide, if you look at it through the somewhat long-range lens of seeking a One World Government it all makes sense. A OWG would be over subordinate states, not nations. Within the EU there really are no longer ‘nations’, just states. Those seeking OWG see themselves as being part of the power structure, RULING over the masses. After all, what fun is POWER unless you WEILD it over others?

Actually, the “French Revolution Redux” is the elites seeking to control, oppress, and ultimately annihilate the people of Western civilization.
