The one Sam’s holding, yes. As for the other? Well, hair color on a newborn can change dramatically within the first 12 months or so. Might take the babe a while to build that fire before the flames are evident.

Blondes go brown all the time. Don’t think I’ve seen one go red though?

Oh, but they do! Black, black, to very red. and same to very blond. Siblings.

Wow. Blond to brown and even to black, and darkening tends to continue throughout life, while the particular components that form ginger have fizzled by then, and as it says here it is extremely rare for a blond or especially a brunette, to go red. But hey, everything that ranch family does is rare and unique, so…

“Red hair DNA is a recessive trait, so a child needs to inherit two copies of the MC1R gene, one from each parent, to have red hair. Even if a parent doesn’t have red hair, they can still be a carrier of the red hair allele and pass it on to their child. For example, if one parent is redheaded and the other isn’t, there’s about a 50% chance that their child will have red hair. If both parents are carriers, but neither have red hair, there’s about a 1 in 4 chance that their child will have red hair.”

        JTC –

I was a tow-head. Then as I hit puberty it darkened. It didn’t go carrot-top red, but it was definitely reddish brown. Not that I could see it, though. Different recessive gene – I’m partially red/green colorblind. As a teenager my grandmother used to call me a redhead, and it made me mad. “I-am-not-a-redhead!” at volume mad. And then I had Biology 101 in college and we all did the Ishihara color blindness test. I was the only one in the lab that saw things differently. I had to apologize to my grandmother.

My little sister was born with a full head of short black hair. A few months later, it fell out and grew back pale blonde. The next time we made it back to Minnesota (from Arizona) with a blonde baby, my grandmother thought we’d switched babies!

As she grew up, her hair darkened, finally becoming light brown. Our littler sister was pale blond from her first hair up until she turned gray like the rest of us.

She goes from ”these are the last” to “next batch” in no time. Post-partum craziness?

I think Sam means “if Daddy wants another batch, *he* can get pregnant and deliver them.” 😀

According to politicians, hollywood ‘actors’ and the media, men can get pregnant, so there’s always that 😉

He’s a typical hollywood actor, he’ll play a conservative part for the right amount of money, then make fun of them at the hollywood parties laughing at his fans that think he’s a patriotic american.

I had thought, and had read, that he tried to stay out of heavy politics, but this is about as bad as it gets, just for a paycheck?

Thing is, it hurts worse because he is the inspiration for Zed’s dad and appearance wise, for Zed too.

Yeah, it hurts. But, he grew up in Portland, Oregon. And, while he generally doesn’t like playing bad guys, he has done so on occasion. He allegedly used his own guns in filming The Quick & The Dead, so he at least might not be anti-gun. But that was 40ish years ago. Who knows, now? As I recall, he made an ad for Joe four years ago. Why wouldn’t he make one now for Kamala?

It’s sad. But there are very few in Hollywood that are truly real conservatives.
