Be interesting to see what you’d do to save your country. High morals only get you so far in the world of today.

I read the so-called attack. He’s saying he doubts Trump understands the situation and that lots of people have claimed they could stop the war in a day until the dug deeper and found out it wasn’t that simple. He also signaled that Vance’s suggestion that they give up territory wasn’t going to fly.

We’ll see what happens when/if Trump gets elected. I’m still not sure he’ll be allowed to, and given they’ve already signaled their willingness to see him dead, it’s by no means a sure thing he’ll even make it to November.

IF he makes it, though, and If he gets reelected, he’s already stated that he’s not going to cut Ukraine off.

The latest right wing talking points making the rounds are starting to make me ashamed to be called right wing (which I was formerly proud to wear the label of) I recognize the need to use the enemy’s tactics against them to a certain extent, but playing their reflexive blame game isn’t the way to go about it.

I asked a hypothetical question. It wasn’t an attack. For instance, I’ll tell you what I’D do.

I’d play whatever dirty games the people with the money demanded if it was to save my country. 10% to the big guy? To save my country, sure! Put on a clown show for the amusement of the guys with the weapons that’ll keep the Russians from conquering my land? Crank up the organ grinder, I’ll dance all day long. Support the guy more likely to keep sending me weapons and support? Absofuckinglutely. I’m not going to stand on my imaginary high ground and watch my country raped and destroyed to preserve my high moral fiber. I’m going to save my people.

Asking those who are demeaning the guy for doing the same what they’d do in his place isn’t an attack, it’s a legitimate question. One I’d be very interested in hearing, truth be told.

Look, Chris, it’s obvious that you and I do not agree on this war. I read your comic when you’re doing your anti-Ukraine things and cheering Russia on and grit my teeth and wait until you move to the next subject because I’ve been reading and enjoying DBD for 20 years, and we mostly agree on everything else, and I remember all the memes about shirtless Putin riding horses while feckless American politicians did what the feckless do.

But if you’re asking me to just sit back and take it without commenting or correcting the narrative, I’d like to know right now, because then I’d have to reevaluate my support.

Not a damn thing to do with right-wing left-wing or no fucking wing…

That is NOT my circus and those are NOT my clowns*.

As to what I would do to save my country (my circus)? Unknown at the moment but that is subject to change momentarily. But I will say this; morals might not go far anymore, but I will sure try to keep to them and I would hope that means I won’t go lying and begging others to run my circus and pay my clowns.

*Wish I knew who I recently stole that from and I would credit him, but I don’t and I just love it so I’m stealing it anyway.

‘Be interesting to see what you’d do to save your country. ‘ That’s an attack. In my view, Ukraine is a brave nation that is used by the American illegitimate Deepstate as a Money laundering op. Zelenskyy is an American puppet used by our damn puppet Biden et al. Russia is our natural enemy, as is Britain, and both US political parties, undermining our Republic from day one.

I want to save my people-AMERICANS, not Ukrainians, not Democrats, not Russians, not Deepstate Marxists. THEY take precedence and your corrections are not required here.

Take a hike if that doesn’t comport with your views, you feel me?

I kicked that off? Damn it man…

It’s a simple concept that no one in DC groks…

Not my circus, not my clowns.

That is all. Isolationism? So be it.

Throwing our allies to the wolves? Better than the wolves eating our used up carcasses…

Isolationist is just a slur concocted by imperialists to defame noninterventionists.

The really stupid part is by stopping completion of the Nord Stream II pipeline, President Trump effectively blocked Putin from invading Ukraine. President Biden unblocked it, of course, because ALL THINGS TRUMP BAD, and Putin rolled his tanks.

“Blocked from invading” is orders of magnitude better than “Military aid to fight a war.” Of course, Zelensky’s mileage might vary, depending on how much he’s personally stashing in Switzerland.

I saw a TSA agent take a sample of breast milk and put in a machine to analyze it… The whole line at the carry on x-ray area where laughing their asses off at him.
The government stooge didn’t think it was funny.

Scan everything then nobody can complain about being singled out.

I ran ion detectors for years, testing people and items for drugs and explosives, and until you see the readout on the screen you have no idea what you’re testing, no matter what’s written on the container. Unless he physically saw the liquid leave the woman and go into the bottle then all he could possiby know was that it was a white(ish) liquid and anything could be in suspension in it.

You just described what I did in the lab. “Here’s an evidence sample we found in the suspect’s car. Tell us what it is.”

Like the bottle of New Coke (remember that?) that was full of New Coke with the Other Kind of Coke dissolved in it. And I don’t mean Classic Coke.

        cheers

Obviously, it was a sample from a bottle of breast milk. If he took the sample straight from the source, the onlookers should not have been laughing, they should have been making a citizen’s arrest.

@JTC : “Not my circus, not my monkeys” is the original saying. It’s a Polish proverb (“nie mój cyrk, nie moje małpy”) that goes back quite a ways, so I don’t think anyone can really claim authorship of it at this point. Steal away. 🙂

I remember well when we sent some
‘Advisors’ to S. Vietnam; we know what
that developed into, just heard that we
are sending more troops to bordering
    countries around Ukraine.

I think the military industrialist interest
(which was warned about by Pres.
    Eisenhower) is alive and well.
If you make ur money selling weapons

Testing and slow semi prototype production is all they are geared for. It’s a scam.
We can now produce effective attack drones for the same cost as artillery shells and we ran out of artillery shells, which shows just how competent the “military industrial complex” actually is.
Start-up companies making those drones don’t have much if any influence in Mordor on the Potomac, so new businesses get starved while we slowly grind out obsolete steel to feed the pockets and ambitions of Blob.

I used to think NATO was a force for good but it seems like it’s been subverted into being the military arm of globalism. Now NATO is posturing on behalf of a non-ally (Ukraine) which doesn’t fill my heart with joy.

Meanwhile Dear Leader Trudeau the Younger is posturing about how NATO’s forces are going to be tackling climate change. I wonder if he’ll assign Canuckistani soldiers to attack the waves and to battle the tides?

I can hardly wait to see order the Army in to shovel snow, thisis supposed to be the kind of winter that makes gore and suzuki cry because nobody sends them money when they can’t see out of their windows for snowdrifts…our kids weren’t supposed to know what snow is, remember ? lotsa recent arrivals discovered last year that after the snowplow fills your driveway in fir the third time in a morning, the fluffy white stuff loses it’s magic real quick, and it wasn’t much of a winter compared to what it can be.

I think a look back at the Napoleanic Wars are an excellent starting point for trying to square Russia. A buddy was supposed to be Putin’s brain and anticipate next actions. He said he was woefully wrong. The money pit of Ukraine is indeed a money laundering enterprise of the first and worst order, and Democrats know it, andcthey know we know it, and they don’t give a fig, and we’re supposed to eat it, and go further in debt, as they lose the fight, and defeat is inevitable, and the sooner, the better. We should’ve let Patton finish the fight with Old Joe in 1945. Ukraine is a kleptocracy, just like the Democrat party. End the funding and the virtue signaling. Gangsters all.

Ukraine doesn’t mean all that much to us as an ally. It’s just a washing machine for money and using up munitions’ so more, at higher price, must be produced. Do we have any allies anymore? That we haven’t hung out to dry? The Romans found out and we are in process. The Barbarians are inside the boarders.

When Trump gets in and byethen’s 10% doesnt do anything anymore but a fast audit of how the money going out is being spent is suddenly in play, then you’ll see some hard and fast fighting to drive Russia back using all the donated equipment they haven’t already sold under the table…because there won’t be any profit in dragging it out…should take less than a week.

Dawgs or Drones might be less fuel consuming and almost as fast, definitely faster if you consider pre and post flight stuff. But not as likely to encourage the full cooperation and military discount one might obtain at food source.
