Real Life Real Logic: At supermarket, woman grabs a head a lettuce, $1.69. I tell her there’s a sale, only 99¢/head for 2 or more (small shelf tag). She explains “well we don’t eat that much lettuce” and walks off.
If by the time they would have finished the first head the second was slimy and needed to be thrown out, the one that was actually used would have been $1.98 instead of $1.69.
Exactly. As an adaptable omnivore I alter my menu for minimal (financial) resource expenditure. BLTs, soft tortilla wraps, I can easily use up “excess” lettuce. People get entranced by the “logic of logic”. Use only half of the second head and it was worth it.

Too Tall
If Sam and Zed are 40 miles from the nearest public road, and Kimiko tells Don Portago to fire up their private jet, who gets to the hospital first?
“Smith” and “Wesson” That would be a fun set of brothers to deal with.

We thought about naming our son Harrison Richard, Harrison cause we like it and Richard after my dad. That would have tormented the poor boy forever: Harry Dick!

True. My Grandmother had two sets of twin boys. The first at 46 and the last at 48. 16 children in total and 15 lived to adulthood.

Actually, a girl! They were joking around that day.
“Get the car”?
I’m so old, I remember (not really)….
Women would rather bear their children in the street than go to the “maternity hospital” in Vienna.
Because,….you know….science.
Get the car? how about
Hunker down, shelter in place, and task the panicky folk with watching large pots of water boil.
Funny, I was about to send eon a suggestion to continue an OT string from yesterday at yesterday’s ‘toon if that is okay CM? Like that comments stay open after the fact for those of us like eon and (ahem) that JTC guy for whom brevity is not a strong suit…unless that still burns up band width for you, being old and ignorant I don’t know how that works…?
Eon put out a VERY long post, I appreciate it, but it was almost a novella. I like his stuff, but if he could condense a tad, others can get in there and address his points.
Well hell now I’m curious, is it on today’s topic? Hate for it to go to waste; can he or you copy/paste at yesterday’s? Interesting guy, I and others would likely check it out…maybe comment.
Wifey says I will argue with a fencepost (apologies to any fenceposts out there), but I prefer to call it offering a contrarian view…like it says on the sidebar at the Old Dead Blog, “ever the contrarian”. 🙂

Oh dear, and away we go!
It’s just one darn thing after another at the Double-D, isn’t it!
Skye slips and falls. “Ow, what is… Wait, I know this. Sam!”
Drive carefully!

Does the ranch helicopter fly at night?
Wonder if Zed is gonna get a son, after two girls?
Twins, again – this time boys!
Fasten your seatbelt, it’s gonna get bumpy!
More twins
If Jan and Naomi visit Sam and her baby in the hospital, isn’t it about time for them to pack a bag and fill out their own admissions paperwork?
Seems Jan already had baby Kavanaugh, spotted Oct 11.
Hmm. A boy, weighing in at 10 pounds, 24 inches long
And what’s the other one? She’s had twins before.

Green Logic:
It’s become necessary to destroy the civilization to save it?
“We have our best men on it. Top…..Men…..”
That does tie in nicely with the mining discussion from yesterday. The money quote, as it were…
“we need to transform our economy and society in the next 12 years,”
Yes, they are concerned with future generations like our new baby(s?) there at the ranch. Their eden depends on a nice crop of eloi to sustain them.
The Chinese are certainly evil but very perceptive, even having coined a term for Ocasio and her ilk:

Follow the money/power. Always follow the money/power.
UNTopia! Wonderful. 🙁
UN- Prefix that alters meaning 180 degrees. i.e. Successful vs UNsuccessful
Intelligent vs UNintelligent
Need I go on?
Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to work in the “UN Idiots!” example. They can’t even get that right.
eon-too long, dude.
Ahh.. to have a 426 and a competent driver… get you there pronto.
Love me some vintage rods but that Escalade out front will get them there faster, safer, and with an emergency birthing bed in back if needed.
I think the (more) competent driver will be too distracted by her birthing pains…
Wasn’t Naomi also pregnant?
Very.

How come nobody there ( including JO) is a midwife????
Jo could probably become a midwife with 30 seconds of internet access.
Do NOT read my mind.
Jo, and some insulated gloves?
Slides Chris’ script into a desk drawer… 😀
But then would you want Jo’s -5 degree hands touching you there? 😀
Ooooo…. 😉
Insulation for the hands.
BBQ mitts?
I”m sure that JO has internal control of surface temperatures.
Did we have a baby naming contest and I missed it?
So, I submit:
for twin boys: Walker and Marshall
For twin girls:
Bobby Sue and Mary Jo (it’s Texas you know)
Spin
Wesley Richards? Smith Wesson? heh
I like both of those!
If it’s a girl, Boadicea?
“Bo” for short, then you have Bo and Jo.
Just an idea.
Dan Wesson Owens or Samuel Colt Owens?
Billy Jo and Bobbie Sue
Eon, condense your previous and repost if u like-it was waaaay too long, sorry.

Apology accepted. Excepted.
NO COMPLICATIONS.
NO ACCIDENTS.
A baby boy for the girls to adore…
and to teach him all the fun stuff
Julie [Golob] and Jessie [Harrison]. Rob[Latham] and Brian [Enos]. Just wondering.
