Skye is a strong progressive feminist. She doesn’t need a man… oh wait…

You’re right. Skye doesn’t NEED a man (until she realizes she does). But eventually, FemiNazis like Skye find that they WANT a man to love, honor, cherish, hold, be courteous to and dedicated to JUST THEM — in the usual traditional (oh no!!), conservative (gasp!! heresy!!) sense.

Skye is not a FamiNazi. If she were, she would be angrily *telling* Sam she *must* adopt affirmative consent…or whatever concept she’s on about this week. Instead she’s trying to *sell* Sam on Liberal concepts.
Skye’s just a true believer. A garden variety cultist. She drinks the Kool-Aide without a second thought.

“Mr. Skye”? As in “Skye Masterson”, perhaps? (I suspect that’s a guy to give her a run for her money…)

Skye is a lazy masochist in search of a rich sadist. She’ll find a few.
Can’t quite picture Chris going for a 50 Shades spin-off, not that Skye doesn’t deserve it.

Zed is the kind of man that Sam wants to do things for. She appreciates and trusts him and he reciprocates.
Skye envies what Sam, Zed, Jan and Damon have because she knows that she will never have it.
She has nothing to offer such men. Love, honour, respect and obedience all have to be earned.
To paraphrase Little Mary in Heartbreak Ridge; ‘If you want a lot from a man you have to give a lot’.

Then again, Skye may simply be starting to realize what a slow-motion train wreck her entire life is. And that she really has nobody to blame but herself.
Moments of clarity like that tend to be…demoralizing.

That’s good…better no one than the wrong one. Still, your blanket statement as to men makes it seem you’re done with ’em. That’s not good, because as Dino once crooned, everybody needs somebody…sometime. It’ll happen, if you let it.
