    Too Tall

“Great minds think alike” works across the strip, this storyline, and through the 4th wall.

Putin and Zed may not see eye to eye, yet they agree.

    Nicely done, Chris.

The US Department of State, with few exceptions, has not supported US interests abroad in decades. Why expect them to deal with Russia in a pragmatic way now? I guess “The Reasons to Disband the UN” was not the best topic for my application essay to DoS…

Best possible outcome: US out of the UN; UN out of the US. The sooner the better . . .

And the State Department and CIA out on their butts.

May not be able to disband them. But you can sure defund them. Same end.

The UN, like NATO and so many other well intended projects, has run it’s course. The world would be better off if the G7 nations cut off the UN’s funding completely since there doesn’t seem to be any appetite to shitcan the entire organization.

If the UN truly believes itself to be a force for good, they should have no problem finding funds for all of their projects. Ask for cash from those nations who spend their days crafting resolutions denouncing the West and Israel. Put up or shut up… maybe both…

Woodrow Wilson’s Government by Bureaucracy suffers from the same disease as Government in general, and it’s something the Framers and even those lone voices like Thomas Sowell decry even today.
The first order of business in ANY organization is Serve Thy Self.
It’s the reason the Framers went to so much trouble to subdivide government and play the divisions against each other. It’s the reason the Soviet Union, an organization gifted with everything a nation could want, died in a whimpering heap of corruption.
The reason Business, especially in the US, has done so well is simple.
The Corrupt die to be almost instantly replaced by the Productive.
The Corruption is inevitable. It just takes longer for some than others.
And remember, in the end there is no such thing as Too Big To Fail.

The major problem wit hthe UN is that the voting blocs for various causes like say…islamc terrorism…are much larger than the others.

The US gets one vote, not counting it’s dwindling number of allies after bama/bye-then tried and managed to estrange everyone..

Russia has more satellite states that vote lockstep with them and the islamic ‘states’ number in the 50’s with every new ‘stan’ adding another vote.

Supposedly sane countries like Canada have been usurped by wef-owned politicians and our vote is not only meaningless it’s very often on the side of insanity or simply not counted by abstaining from anything meaningful.

When countries like iran can chair a human rights commission then the ‘best before’ date has come and gone long ago and given that the entire bureaucracy is founded on nepotism, ideology-for-hire, and outright theft, as shown in the UNRWA which should never have been created in the first place but for relatives needing jobs and jihadis needing storehouses, there are more reasons against than for the continuing existance, at least not in any controlling manner.

The UN could be a good meeting place for countries to bitch at each other in front of thr rest of the worls and maybe keep their armies to themselves, but that hasn’t happened and there are no consequences to any country for the most blatant acts of war, except for Israel trying to defend itself, the voting blocs have taken care of that and slipping your country’s candidate into the top spot or skimming a big percentage off of ‘aid packages’ takes precedence over the continued existance of a nation the UN helped create.

A little off subject but may you-all have a safe and happy Independence Day tomorrow, if you’re allowed to.
Hopefully there won’t be any ground level fireworks to distract the people from the fireworks in the governing party, but I wouldn’t bet on it, they desperately need a new disaster to save us from and they’ve already brought in the partygoers, they just need to hand out the party favours…

Nothing could suit their needs more or look better (in their eyes) than riding in to ‘save a democracy’ that was so sneakily attacked on such an auspicious date and the bigger the political disaster, the bigger the distraction you need.

I just read an article suggesting that 42% of Internet traffic is created by ‘AI’.

I often wonder if I’m listening to a human voice or not on youtube and ypu can tell a lot of responses in comment sections, even in comics, are generated ones for various reasons from inflating readership numbers for increased ad revenue to deliberate narrative leading/changing by some alphabet agency.

I do know one thing though, I make far too many typos and grammatical errors to be a bot…and no bot would be able to function through this level of arthritis on a damp day…they’d format/:C first

So fear not dear readers, I’m making this drivel up all on my own to do my part to hasten the heat death of the universe by overexciting a bunch of innocent electrons to post it:)

Forget the world for a bit. Celebrate the 4th with as much enthusiasm you can muster. Blow the trumpets and bugles, just not your fingers and hands, for the 4th tomorrow. We deserve it. A lot of us has worked for it for a long time. RED, Remember Everyone Deployed. They deserve it, because they keep us free.
