This latest Lindsey lashing seems to be over his unwillingness to call the witnesses President Trump wants grilled by the Senate. Trump is steaming mad over impeachment, and I don’t blame him. And I too would like to see Quid Pro Joe, Bugeye Schiff and Eric Ciamarella filleted in the full glare of Klieg lights. After 3 1/2 years of relentless false assaults, it’s long since time they got some payback, good and hard. But I also find it a perfectly defensible position for the Senate GOP to want to get this whole farce over and done fast, rather than paralyze them for another several months. Every minute they are listening to Bugeyes fence with a witness is a minute they are not spending confirming Federal judges. Which will have a longer, stronger impact?
I’m torn – shut it down and get it over with, or drag it out as long as possible so Klobuchar, Sanders, and Warren are stuck in their seats and not out campaigning…
