Bwa-ha-hahaa-haaaaaa!
A nice distinction there, and very well done.
Gaaa, my mind has gone … I can’t recall the new term, or even who insulted us with it. Bleh!
Skye still has the progressive obsession with forms, it seems.
Plus the OCD about telling everybody else How to Do It.
Most progressive tics seem to be centered around convincing everyone else that they are cosmopolitan Europeans. Which is another way of saying “frustrated monarchists and Athenian aesthetes”.
They should remember that the originals came to bad ends over there.
They’d have no problem with him emigrating now… ‘Funny ol’ world id’n it?’

But who IS the Real Deplorable? Someone who stands up for the Truth? Or the Whackos who chase him and his family out of a restaurant?
Would Skye prefer the company of those in the Madding Crowd? Or would she prefer to be far from the Madding Crowd’s ignoble strife? (H/T to Thomas Gray) Does she ever wash her hands?
“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.” ~C. S. Lewis
I’ve never believed that the left torments others “for our own good”. Having been raised in a hard-core FDR New Deal Democrat family, I believe they do it because they enjoy hurting people, period.
Leftism just provides convenient excuses and justifications, much like any other fringe religious cult.
Eon’s Laws
First Law
Human beings choose to follow belief systems, religious, political, or otherwise, which sanctify the sort of actions they would do anyway. The belief system just lets them feel self-righteous about what they want to do to others.
Skye did an extremely brave thing by switching sides (takes one to know one), and deserves a good man now to keep her happy in the sack. It is distressing to see her unfulfilled…
Hey look, Zed’s eating her quiche! Crunch, munch and slurp, it’s almost phonographic. But Skye is green, it’s a jealous thing. Better to look to one’s own busyness and see what Travis maybe cooking. I hear that chicken fried cooter can be a mean eat.
Completely off-topic but as I have shared my 16 year old granddaughter’s pursuit of her pilot’s license and eventual captaining of the big jets, wanted to pass this along:
The co-pilot that died was the owner of Grace’s Clearwater FL flight school. About my age, he and I had a long conversation while we watched her do her first solo last month, a wonderful down to earth guy who loved and was so proud of her.
He owned two small jets and did a few charters and was doing one the afternoon of the day I was there to Nashville. Don’t know the circumstances of this one other than to surmise a mechanical failure of braking. God bless his good soul and hoping that this won’t have a devastating effect on her and her plans and her amazing confidence. She was scheduled for her second cross country solo tomorrow, landing at the Brooksville airport and visiting with a family friend and mentor who is the tower supervisor there before flying back to Clearwater.
That won’t happen now but another young student, a 17 year old boy with whom she has made acquaintance was also scheduled to fly tomorrow and they planned to hang out at Busch Gardens after. He too was instructed and mentored by Steve Fox and his crew at Clearwater Aviation, so hopefully they will still get together and offer each other solace and moral support. Godspeed and prayers for Steve and my sweet girl.
One thing I GUARANTEE, absent absolutely incontrovertible, unimpeachable, inarguable evidence of mechanical failure, the final FAA report will list the cause of the accident as “Pilot Error”. The FAA’s stock answer is that the person at the controls caused the accident.
JTC, I hope this didn’t derail your granddaughter’s plans. I hope she continues to progress and one day gets that commercial ticket with all the nice endorsements.
Thank you sir. She is a strong and level headed girl, and in a text to me today told me she loved Steve as he did her, can’t it happened, but reiterated the truth she knows, that crashes are incredibly statistically rare in relation to other events. I told her he was doing what he loved, and would very much want her to persevere and pursue her dreams.
As to pilot error, it could be, but as the plane apparently landed normally and failed to decelerate it’s hard to believe as with Steve in the co-chair he would have been all over any mistake by the younger pilot, sure seems to indicate mechanical or systems failure of some kind.
Thanks again for your kind words and encouragement.

Losing another pilot , especially a friend, is always a difficult experience. It is sad to lose a good pilot, and a good friend to you and your granddaughter.
I hope she gets her commercial and does what she enjoys.
I momentarily considered it as an alternate parallel course until I could not get the class A medical certificate due to a color blindness that I never knew that I had. This is now a reality in her life. Prayers for all effected by this.
I talked a friend back into flying to return to instructing as my instructor. I had a flying club plane access by family. He then was re-inspired and after a few smaller jobs leading up, was flying the big heavy ones successfully for decades. May she find that sort of success where she desires it.

It was the Hildebeast that coined the phrase basket of deplorables.
To mangle ol’ Willy Shakespeare, “a Deplorable by any other name would work as hard”.

“frustrated monarchists and Athenian aesthetes”.
That’s beautiful right there…the more so because while they aspire to it they do not understand it. Nor this:
“They should remember that the originals came to bad ends over there.”
Can’t remember what you never chose to learn which is why they repeat the mistakes of history over and over…may their ends repeat this time as well.
And the Flake also known as McCaint Lite bails at the last minute on his party and constituents once again…just like his traitor hero.
Am moving to a different state (some 700 miles away) next week. License plate on the truck once resettled will be DPLORBL.
I hope you’re not moving to Louisiana… I just put the request in for mine. Sorry to steal your creativity but… Damn! That’s awesome.
What’s that from? “It’s true… We are. She is.” I can almost ‘see’ the scene in my mind but… not… quite. Sucks getting old.
I’ll probably remember as soon as I pick, ‘Post Reply’.
I think it’s from Air America, but not sure.
It could be a riff on Lethal Weapon 2 – Joe Pesci in the South African Consulate….
THAT’S IT!
“But, but… you’re black!”
“He’s right… You are…”
THANK YOU!

The last time she was in with the madding crowd, it cost her $50K, her worldly goods, and a winter of homelessness in Seattle, WA.
Hopefully she’s learned something from that.
NB: I define a “learning experience” as one which, having survived it once, I am determined not to get into the same fix again.

Why is political correctness the worst? Well…
“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. Not yet.
She first has to learn what a good man is, and that means she has to learn what it means to be a good woman.
She has a long way to go yet.

Culinary Delights are on the menu Tonight!
I think Travis and Suzy Q have that covered.
Umm… What do you call it when someone uses a special signal to indicate they’re part of a particular group?
Oh, yeah – a gang sign! Skye wants them to show their solidarity with the appropriate gang sign!

Thank you NotYet, I will definitely pass along the inspiring story of your friend and your good wishes to her.
So now that the FBI is involved, just how creative is their bullshit story gonna be this time?
Probably digging through old Penthouse Forums to find another story to rip off for an investigative report.
Skye is still digesting the Red Pill. Sometimes it doesn’t all melt at once.
