His responsibility for and to them absolutely colors his actions so as to protect himself for their benefit. Ask any father, even just a tradesman or merchant and not a renowned sharpshooter and experienced strategist, what he fears. Most want to survive but are willing not to if the cause is just and sufficient. But when his men are at stake, or when his ability to protect, defend, and provide for his family is threatened…yes they will admit that deep fear, and that their abilities do not make them bulletproof or invulnerable, they may even rightly say that is ironically what makes them “fearless”.

It does take a special kind of stupid to ignore the facts surrounding us and accept the left’s lies.To live in this economy and say it’s great. To view the butchery of Hamas and deem that their self-proclaimed victimhood makes them admirable. To live under today’s ever-more restrictive government and fear the return to being a Constitutional Republic.

Like the lowly mosquito, our provincial bird, the sheer grace and beauty of their flight and effortless landing at any angle, the often painless application of their beak, so clevery designed to pierce even tough animal hide without being noticed, their sheer tenacity in the way they adapt to breed hordes from a little water in an old tire or even just a tin can….but you still have to squash them whenever you get the chance,

Certain “particular sets of skills” are so rare as to be almost universally noteworthy.
Yet, they are universally and timelessly useful.
In times of crisis, they are invariably in high demand.
One would think that the demand would increase the supply, but that rarely happens.
