Luckily, I retired just before the rot set in (1988). Sadly, I would not even consider recommending military service today – which bodes ill for this Nation when, not if, the balloon goes up.
The only salvation I see is the 40 million veterans across the land, half of whom could go out into the field tomorrow, and half who can stand home guard. I pray it does no come to that . . .t
Living in the belly of God’s (and the Devil’s) waiting room in Central Fla, I am forever behind a retiree vehicle with Marine and Army tags and stickers…since these are retirees these are very often lifers or long-term officers etc.
When I have time at the traffic light I walk up to their driver window (slowly, carefully don’t feel like getting shot) and when they roll it down I ask “You an old Jarhead?” or whatever branch is appropriate. They say, sometimes slowly sometimes immediately and enthusiastically Yep! or very often Yes Sir! (old habits/training die hard). And I say “Thank you for saving the world!” And they say kind of stunned, “You’re welcome.”
Then I say, “Way things are going, might have to call you back up!” And their faces and their eyes light up, and more often than not “Hell yeah I’m ready!”
We have the drive, the ambition, the experience, and the manpower…yes, even if it’s sitting on their front porch holding off the zombies.

In a way it’s a good thing.
Think of all the potential for cleaning house when the Greater Depression hits.
Balancing a budget will be so much simpler when we are finally forced by bankruptcy to burn down the forest to clear out the dead wood.
We can “provide for the common defense” with a small fraction of what we have now. We don’t need to be the “World Police” pushing the Chaos agenda of perpetual war. Indeed, what we have now is so crippled with Woke I fear we’re on the same path of corrupt impotence as Russia and China but with our own twist of “disreality”.

Corrupt and evil to their cores, but I would never used the phrase impotent to describe the murderous destructive abilities of these “players”.
I mean we know their weapons systems are decrepit and drained, but you can bet Russia and Putin have a hold-back arsenal of the Big Ones.
And didn’t I just see the figure of how many active nukes are at the hand of the Xi? Seems like it was 60 or something.
So yeah, corrupt beyond description BUT they can take out the world in a flash, a BIG flash. Destruction would be mutually assured, but I’m pretty sure both of them would take that before admitting defeat.
I’m down with cutting out the damn interminable unwinnable wars that siphon our treasure and sacrifice our boys. But don’t take our eyes off of these two.

Well fuck, can you say undercount? Where the hell did I get that number? Which btw is certainly sufficient for the “job” at hand, but 350? And DOD says maybe 500? Fuck.

“The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists and Federation of American Scientists estimated in 2023 that China has a stockpile of approximately 410 nuclear warheads, while the United States Department of Defense put the estimate at more than 500 operational nuclear warheads.”

If only America was in the doghouse. It is a lot more than that that America is in.
Sorry about the ad but worth the watch

I thought Double-D had some sort of diplomatic or consular status…
Sovereign nation. But commies have a history of ignoring that status.
I believe it was established in a 2020 strip that Biden cancelled their diplomatic recognition.
I’ll take that to mean whoever had control of Brandon’s teleprompter canceled the diplomatic status.
2020? Pudd’nhead wasn’t president yet.
install 3 bolts, slap a “made in america” sticker on them, and they can all stay.
it works with cars, refrigerators, and air conditioners…
…and illegals?
“Americans are in the doghouse”. Got that right.
