Postulate: The Left is addicted to power. Nothing else matters.
Peterson’s Lens: “Tyranny is the grip of the lie.”
The great power of the Left is that when a Leftist says something, it defines reality.
Therefore, it is logically impossible for a Leftist to lie.
    Q.E.D.
Once you accept the postulate, once you look through Peterson’s Lens, everything the Left says makes sense. Horrible sense, but sense.
“For the children” means, “Conservatives are required to agree to this, since they like children. (Though not in the fun way.)”

Well said, Kiko. And I say that with a shudder up my back. Spend all last weekend with my daughter and her now husband (two weeks now). The ceremony got blown away just south of Ashville, and the chapel got kinda wrecked. Re-scheduled for next Memorial Day. I played with and read her new Star Wars book to her. Granddaughter Layla will be 4 in January. She’s full of piss and vinegar,Ha Ha. Wrecked me emotionally seeing that little girl and her teddy outside the FEMA van. Voted last week, sitting in the pile at the County Courthouse, and NO, didn’t shed a wit for , La (Comma La). I hope my Commonwealth puts Trump back in. Pennsylvania is SO in the news for this.

Casey’s up for reelection this year, so I think it’s another clue that the internal polling numbers are even worse for Harris than they’re letting on, and Casey is hoping he can fool enough PA voters into thinking he’s changed his stripes so they’ll vote split-ticket and let him keep his seat even as they vote for Trump.

I knew the democrats were doing it “to” rather than “For” back in 1967 when LBJ thought he’d locked in the “N!&&#r vote”. Even in my early teens, I could tell what that bill would do to families, and NOTHING good for the kids!

Actually Amber Thurman didn’t die because of a GA law. She died because those close to her waited too long to take her to the ER. (It’s possible to find a flaky abortion provider in any state.) But there aren’t laws anywhere that negate a physician’s wish or duty to save life, regardless of the original cause that brings them in. THAT is the falsehood propagated by the left and it drives physicians crazy.

From what I’ve read she used medication obtained legally out of state for the procedure, and that it was a delay in treating complications after the fact that led to her death. Not sure why she delayed seeking treatment for her complications, but the pregnancy would have been terminated before she went to any doctor in Georgia. Lots of finger pointing on a situation that never should have happened.

No state outlaws medically necessary abortions. Ectopic pregnancies are quite often fatal if not immediately treated.

Medical malpractice (waiting too long after diagnosis for the D&C procedure) killed Amber Thurman, not the abortion law.

    Prosecute those responsible.

Good, maybe they’ll forget the secret handshake so the rest of the gang won’t recognize them and treat them like any other innocent bystander. That should whittle them down pretty quick.

Living in eastern-NC myself but my family has spent decades in the Boone/Blowing Rock and then Maggie Valley/Cherokee areas camping, vacationing, etc. We got a Helene tornado but no one hurt, a handful of businesses wrecked.

But the devastation being communicated via friends-n-family up there has been so heartbreaking. 3 weeks in and still gargantuan infrastructure issues and not a single Fed resource to be found. These people have to transport themselves to Asheville if they want to get support bc those p###ies won’t go 5 mins out of their way. The gov’t has made it clear they care about uber-libtard Asheville and their SanFran-like mentally challenged specials … but the “of the earth” folks around there are being ignored and abused. Their houses are little sitting in roads, rivers and in pieces on the side of the hills and not a single f###ing agency is helping do jack-diddly. Local DOT and United Way folks ARE … God bless them … but there’s just too few reaching even fewer.

    Doing it to:
    Women
    Children
    Blacks
    Latinos
    LBGQT+
… etc, etc, etc, ad nauseam.
Every group they say they’re doing it FOR they are doing it TO while they achieve their goals. After a particular group no longer “works” for their purposes that group is quietly dropped.

I’m old enough to remember when “workers” turned into “hard hats” and “red necks”, the American kulaks.

I’m a native born Floridian but I’ve considered m’self a “redneck” ever since I can remember. I love that the left considers it an epithet. But when I’ve been called it to my face, I’ve thanked them for the acknowledgement of my heritage and grin while they lose their sh*t over the fact that I’m not insulted!! 😀

        As I said elsewhere,

Redneck both is and is not a choice, a true nature/nurture conundrum.
