It just means that the facts supporting conservatives have to be buried. As with their putting the fact that the arrangement for those curtains were made during the Obama reign was several paragraphs below the headline accusing Ms. Haley of being guilty of them.
Repressed memories concerning Kavanaugh! Anyone remember the McMartin preschool case concerning supposed child abuse? It was the most expensive ($15 million and longest trial (3 plus years) based on repressed memories. The accused were held for years without bail, their lives ruined and no recompense when the case fell apart. California, of course!
Not to mention “alien abduction” narratives. The fact that they all came out so similarly under hypnosis was taken as proof they were real- until clinical psychologists noticed that the “abduction researchers” like Budd Hopkins asked the same leading questions every time, and asked them repeatedly until the compliant (due to being in a trance state ) “witnesses” gave them the answers they wanted.
The amusing part is, Randle is a UFO believer who is still trying to salvage the “abduction experience” as validation, while Dr. Cone and Estes, his coauthors, consider it all complete hogwash and say so in the book.
It’s worth noting that hypnotic regression, to detect “UFO abduction” or anything else, is rarely done here in OH; to legally use hypnosis in such a way here, you have to be not only “trained” in it, but also be a licensed psychologist or psychiatrist- and the majority of such “researchers”, including Hopkins (a New York artist) are neither one.
Hypnosis as a research tool for anything except determining how pliable the minds of humans in a trance state can be made was an early 20th Century delusion little removed from Anton Mesmer’s parlor games in the early 19th Century in which he convinced people that they were dogs, or cows, or sheep. Its validity as a clinical technique is about as close to zero as the “psychic surgery” practiced by charlatans in the Philippines.
It’s time it was legally treated the same way. I would suggest jail time for the “practitioners”. Let them hypnotize themselves in their stainless-steel lavatory mirrors… in their cells.
There was a Truth Serum several decades ago that was used as a last resort. It was able to exonerate or help convict those that took it. There was one small draw back. Within the year the person would suddenly drop dead. The unknown side effect was that the inside of the person’s arteries would thin out and rupture. The serum was shelved.
And it is into this already toxic environment that the President has finally ordered declassification of a variety of documents and many emails.
Popcorn and adult beverage time.
So we watch an honorable man go down to innuendo, and maybe squeak out a confirmation while biased political hacks Kagan and Sotomayer get votes in the 60’s.
Note the 17th and down comes the house. Boom Boom Boom goes the ring master, “welcome back my friends to the show that never ends, step inside, step inside, there under glass is a single blade of glass, move along, move along.”*
Punch back, contact your Senator and let them know that spurious bull crap innuendo has got to stop.

I do believe tequila is much better than what Pamela said. The Total Wine and More Store is selling a bottle of tequila (1.75L) for $929.99. THAT must be mighty SMOOOOTH!

THAT explains a whole bunch of things.
My recollection of Flake is that he is indeed.
Truth in advertising.
Even truthier advertising…McFlake.
That can’t be real… the bullseye at the centre of the dartboard says “truth” and the New York Times has nothing to do with truth.
No it says “FACTS”. Once in awhile they can print facts and still be slime.

Sounds like an excellent way to interrogate Islamic extremists.
Yes it does !!! 🙂
We live in strange times.

Popcorn and adult beverage time.
Extra large servings of each.
Cocksuckers.
Oh, and so much more.
Remember, they always lie (deceive), and accuse others of the actions/desires of themselves.
There has to be some place for that classic mistranslation from Zero Wing in all of this. All your ——— are belong to us! Fill in the blank.
This “circus” is almost like watching an 18th century madhouse in situ.
Have plenty of refreshments on hand.

You forgot asshole, an epithet I embrace proudly right on the bio blurb at my old dead blog.
And that, like the bitter clinger, deplorable, and other labels that you mention, has mostly to do who is using them against us.
If Bobo calls me a clinger and Hillzabeast calls me deplorable, I know I’m on the right track.
Terrible person? Terrible to them means terrific to me.
Hmmm. I guess there is a good reason why I very much disliked chardonnay, back when I was able to drink alcohol…

They could not stand up to the truth of the MacAllen 40 year cask.
One sniff, and they’d be unmasked with a river of verbal – well, you understnad.
Delilah,
You have exquisite taste.
