If it turns out to not just be a troll, vacating the verdict with prejudice would be the way. A mistrial in this context is the sign of an evil soul, just like “Bennie” Thompson. They’ll always tell you if you’re listening.
One assumes part of “The Plan” must be to allow Democrats to expose themselves, while setting up the conditions where they can – or are forced to – do so for all to see. I’d say it’s working pretty well, so far.
I doubt this lot knows history that well, or even cares.
All they know is What They Want. And What They Want is to be able to do whatever they want, to whoever they want, whenever they want, with no consequences for themselves.
People like that cannot be relied upon to behave rationally.
Odds on Benny can’t even pronounce Yamamoto Isoroku, let alone know that he argued strongly against attacking the United States.
He is reported to have said “If you order me to take this action, for six months I will run wild in the Pacific and bring you victories beyond your wildest dreams. Beyond that, I guarantee nothing.”

He was so good at his calling we singled him out for ambush by P38s.
