Thank you Kerry for your support, but the final panel needs a What-a-Burger and a shot of Bourbon, or at least a Shiner Bock.

Even in retirement superheroes need to keep up appearances.

Mjölnir is a suitable weapon. I read too much mythology when I was a kid.

Mjölnir was not Thor’s first weapon. Thor was a powerful warrior but not necessarily careful, so to speak. After breaking every sword or spear he used, the clever dwarf brothers Brokk and Sindri forged for Thor a weapon which didn’t depend on sharp edges or points but sheer brute force.

      Swords dull
      Spears bend
      Arrows break
      Hammers just get more hammery

One of the fun stories of Thor involves him wielding Mjölnir against a Frost Giant (name escapes me) who threw a massive stone at Thor. With his usual aplomb, Thor smashed the stone midair, shattering it into hundreds of shards, then he shattered the Frost Giant’s skull.

After all the excitement was done, Thor noticed the stone had created a marked scrape on Mjölnir, so he picked up a shard of the stone and used it to polish out the scrape. Viking warriors saw this and also picked up stones to polish and whet their weapons.

Thus Thor accidentally invented the whetstone.

I don’t know what I’m looking at in the last panel. Did you have to obscure somebody’s image for copyright reasons? It ruins whatever joke there was.

The person in the final panel is retired Judge Kerry Neves, sponsor of today’s ’toon, longtime DBD supporter, strict Constitutionalist, and a true Patriot.

Mjolnir as his gavel has been a device in his ‘toons for several years. Last year’s ’toon honored his staff and long-time Executive Assistant. It was pure class.

Ah, so it is, I see it now.
Also didn’t realize the judge in panel 3 was “remote.”
Now it all makes sense. Thanks.

Third Panel. Has the appearance of someone summoning the Gavel, likely the person blacked out in the last panel. However, I can’t place a name for the third panel. Assuming this is someone know for honestly, etc. Guess I’ll have to await the reveal.

Should have realized – didn’t realize it was a cowboy hat; maybe white for the hat would have made it clearer, unless the judge prefers black hats. Nice connection to a contributor! Thank you, Judge Kerry Neves,

Yup, all fixed. Domain is in my name now. 22 years ago I had my hosting service do that, it was past time to do this.
