Given the current state of public education, I believe homeschooling might be the only solution to allow children to educated instead of indoctrinated.
Sadly, the current state of education in general is defective.
Indoctrination _is_ a necessary part of education, it’s how we get patriotic and law abiding citizens.
But the major defect is that we only teach the 3Rs Readin, ‘Riten, and ‘Rithmatic.
The fourth R has been so thoroughly expunged from the curriculum that the vast majority are unaware it even exists.
Reasonin’
In the time of the Founders it was very nearly at the top of the list, but now that the politicians control the curriculum it has been eliminated to produce as many gullible voters as possible.
They’re doing a fairly crappy job of teaching the 3Rs to be blunt.
My son just finished his degree in physics which is very math-heavy. In the first year courses, the profs taught the kind of math that I did in high school. My son didn’t struggle but many of the other kids did barely scraped through. Attrition rate was awful.

I heard that tomorrow’s field trip is a lesson in carefree clothing optional family fun Dow at the pond…just in time for the Big Sunday Funnies spread (heh)!
In our extended clan we have 3 who were homeschooled by hippie-ish parents who didn’t think their public schools were Leftist enough. 2 of the 3 are now Democrat Socialists. It’s not just that public prisons I mean schools suck, and oh how they suck, it’s that schooling itself is a flawed premise. I always hated it and have (by choice) no completed graduation or degree. For specific trades and higher disciplines schools are quite useful, even necessary for a period of time, but as the best way to spend human childhood and youth – just No.
Never pass up the chance to try Belgian chocolate. Mmmm.
Remedial! (Attempted) Assault or possibly (Attempted) Assault Under Color of Authority. I saw no “snitches”, although something that rhymed. “Snitches get Stiches” is what made Detroit, Chicago, and Baltimore what they are, today. I am rather in favor of “dropping a dime” with one hand whhile thumbing the safety with the other. As long as you know where that road leads. The young’uns don’t seem to be aware of the strategic situation in their theater of operations. Jes’.sayin’. “Snitches” comment indicates dim and/or dangerous. Certainly uneducated.
I for one, am looking forward to Mondays reopening of Florida. That way I can choose to not go to the beach because I want to, not because it is required.
It seems that with all the people worried about social distancing a stun gun would be really handy – if they’re close enough to catch a few volts, they deserve it!
In remote areas, in an emergency, it is amazing what you can accomplish with liquid bandage and duck tape to triage and stabilize an injury until you can return to civilization.
The adhesive in duck tape is a skin irritant and toxic to the eyes, so you have to have plenty of gauze or cloth, between the patient and the duck tape,
Isn’t it peculiar that the “armed protesters” that “stormed” the state capital in Michigan all underwent temperature screening BEFORE being allowed access by the state police?

Mari and Kiko forgot Aim Center of Mass, and there was a huge amount of (m)ass to aim at.
Years ago, Redfield riflescopes ran an ad with the tag-line: “the 99% of the elephant you’d better not hit”
She taught always be armed or physically capable of taking out the trash.
Trivia question: When was the first time Sam pulled a gun?

I wish Minnesota was opening!!
But I understand the mosques were never closed…
This would be good if Covid were real. 😉

Stitches? I thought one of the larger bottles of gorilla glu would have been needed to hold the zap spots together.

good to know 🙂
I’m just amazed the darts didn’t create stress points resulting in catastrophic failure of the Spandex. (like a BB hitting a balloon)
Snitches may get stitches … and all snitches are bitches
But in LA and NY … snitches get riches
While mayoral bitches get tossed into ditches

I got a kick out of that too… Apparently “stormed” ain’t what it used to be…
“Stormed” – another media trigger-word, like “arsenal” when they find a collection of firearms at someone’s home.
