Post-modern “victims” mainly are looking for an excuse to victimize somebody else. It’s the mentality of a schoolyard bully writ large.

The interesting part is how afraid they are to walk among people who voted for President Trump. Yet it’s the same people they walked among before election day.

All we did is mark a ballot. It isn’t like that changed most of us in any significant way.

Of course, before Nov. 5 they didn’t know how many of us there were. As of today, 76,485,124 and counting. (Which is a disgrace. Texas and Florida had all their votes counted Nov. 6.)

Hey! We’re getting closer than I thought possible to that 155 million total popular vote from 2020. 😉

According to election results live(AP site) Alaska still hasn’t called the race for the house, in which there is only a single candidate. The totals were 219 GOP, 212 DNC/PLD. Gaetz(R-FL) Resigned, to be a Part of the Trump Administration, and Pascrell(D-NJ)died in office. so a couple of special elections, to fill those two seats, I guess, unless Pascrell’s seat is already accounted for.

435 seats in the house GOP holds the slimmest Majority, but there are 5 seats unaccounted for. AK will be GOP, but I don’t know about the others. The GOP was predicted to take at least three more, but as you say, the shame of slow counting…

        But there’s this little Gem to consider, posted in the Politics Table of Baen’s Bar Forum;
That thing that I’m assured doesn’t happen – and for which there has never been any credible evidence for, despite it all the credible evidence posted here over and over and over – is once again happening in PA again, and it’s so fucking flagrant that even the Leftist editorial board of the WaPo is telling them to knock it off:

        https://www.removepaywall.com/search?url=https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2024/11/15/pennsylvania-senate-casey-provisional-ballots/

        Quote:
Before the Nov. 5 election, Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court ruled that provisional ballots must be signed in two required places and that mail-in votes must be dated. Yet elected Democratic officials in Philadelphia and three other counties — Bucks, Centre and Montgomery — voted this week to defy these and other court decisions at the request of lawyers for Democratic Sen. Bob Casey, who trails GOP challenger Dave McCormick by about 24,000 votes, with almost all of the roughly 7 million ballots cast having been counted. These Democrats’ decisions will almost certainly be overturned on appeal, but the mere attempt to defy judicial rulings is corrosive to democracy and invites similar behavior in future elections.

Or Jim Barnes (Destination Moon, Eagle Lion, 1950).

Or even D.D. Harriman (Man Who Sold The Moon, also 1950).

Yes, RAH was responsible for both. Has anyone noticed that we seem to be following the “trajectory” predicted by Heinlein in his future history?

“Imperial exploitation” mid C20 to early C21- check.

Early space exploration mid C20, followed by a “pullback” and interregnum, then a renewal of space exploration and colonization early to mid C21- check.

Return to C19 type economy early to mid C21- check.

And, of course, “The Crazy Years”, last quarter C20 to mid C21- check.

And don’t forget, he worked all this out before the first satellite ever went up in 1957. Most of it he had down in print before the first nuclear-powered vessel was launched (1954).

We should stand in awe of his genius, insight or whatever the heck it was.

Did he have the most accurate “crystal ball” ever?

Speaking of the moon, a political pundit I watch regularly was saying the Chinese are planning to establish a colony on the moon.

Yet… Chinese still claims to be a developing nation? Odd that.

Democrats always accuse others for what they themselves are doing. Alinsky’s Rules. Rules for Radicals.

Never underestimate the evil and hatred of a party which supports tearing apart a baby just before birth.

The hilarious thing is the losing leftists who aren’t connected to the dem party want to know where the 18 million voters disappeared to. Trump voters know they never existed. But the left want an investigation to find out if Trump voters disenfranchised the 18 million so they want an investigation. Hilarious. Bring it. We want to know who those “18 million” came from.
