    Au contraire, Jo.
What eventually becomes a 100+ lb adult human, all starts with less than an ounce (grams?) of egg and sperm.
And a LOT of energy is expended in the fun sweaty exercise of the Horizontal Mambo between male and female, getting that egg and sperm together in the right place and the right time.

Do the wacks who have spent many lifetimes, millions of words and zillions of dollars falsifying their existence realize how simple it really is?

“Never exceeds the energy put into it…”

Brutal. As truth often is. Hence the left and everything about it.

      JTC,

“Never exceeds the energy put into it…”

Perhaps the most powerful description of the Second Law of Thermodynamics since TANSTAAFL.

The entirety of Physics in one word: Entropy.

The entirety of Economics in one word: Scarcity.

And yet, Life finds a way….

And Love…can make it all worthwhile.

RAH was truly a prophet. I think we are approaching the age of a twisted Woke variant of “If this Goes On”…

    Not off topic:

IIRC, Jeff and Jo put an amazing amount of energy into it.

But sometimes, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts…you wouldn’t know it by looking at the ‘news’ today or walking past a…what’s the opposite of diversity ?, but there are still a few that make the rest look like what they are.

Not necessarily, the various ‘stans’ and all the non-Israel countries in the ME are trying to make themselves the least diverse of anywhere by killing anyone who isn’t like them…

Interesting. Certainly one of the longest speeches (perhaps the longest) by the laconic “other robot.” (Sam’s most recent description of Zed.)

It’s all about the importance of the topic.

Given our luck with ethics, morality and technology (not to mention the numerous cautionary sci-fi novels and movies), I’m not sure self-replicating robots is a great idea.

Javier is a genius but the line between genius and madness is blurry.

    J Mercer,

Many thanks for your continued support as well as the funding (and perhaps the storyline) for one of the best Sunday strips.
