Not advice so much as learning by experience and leading by example, even through unmentionable pain. Those girls and all the young’uns of the DD family sure are lucky in that regard; so many amazing role models.
Bought a 60’s MGB-GT which was beautiful (one of the sexiest designs ever!) but did not run and during the nearly 2 years I owned it, it never did. Still made a buck on it when I dumped it to an experienced Brit afficionado in West Palm Beach. Would have loved to toss that little thing around on the twisties by our place in No. Ga. 🙁
It probably had a cracked head. I replced two of them. The problem was with the proximity of the exhast ports of cylinders 2 and 3 which are right next to each other causing an excessive heat problem cracking the valve seats and the casting in between. I sold it after the second replacement. And, like Sam and Kiko, I did it myself. I learned way more than I wanted to about the Morris Garage enginering. Still, it was a real spunky 1.8 liter.

My father owned one of those buggys. He loved to drive it but as time went by it was spending more and more time in the shop. He eventually sold it and bought a’65 Mustang.

ULTRA-MAGA TOP DAWG JTC
This little Rover V8 conversion probably wasn’t around in the 90’s when I had that thing or else I would have done it. Looks like it would be a blast to have a little Brit sports car that actually runs, but in retrospect I’m glad the MG guy I sold it to got it to restore to its beautiful and stock condition.
68 or 69 gto convertible, found in barn should be next job for kiko. The clean parts of dust should outline how her sister found it.
How to get it home? Can t1000s morph into tires and trailer?
They could use balloons…but…

So much Reality in just two cartoon panels.

I had a 1971 MGB when I was in high school and I love the logo on the shirt. I had a lot of fun in that car.

These 2 panels are pure gold. Thanks, Chris!
A Steven Wright moment:
“I was sad because I had no shoes, until I met a man who had no feet.”
A lot of youth today could learn from those like Mia.
I used to hear that from my old man when I was a kid. Throws a lot of perspective into just two sentences.
My Dad told me that as well….perspective….
… so I said: “got any shoes you’re not using ?”
The original quote is timeless, leave it to Stephen to make it better 🙂
Welcome, Sister!
Zar Belk!
I’m trying to figure out whether these last 3 strips are out of sequence or placed just right.
Powerful stuff just the same.
There’s some healing going on for Mia… and some bonding with the twins..
Family is by blood or choice. They have both.
