That’s thenice thing about most revolvers, if you have the time you can fire SA but DA is still there when you need it. Little caveat on that though, if you admit in court that you ‘cocked the hammer’ the prosecutor will immediately accuse you of making the firearm less safe and deliberately preparing to shoot your attacker, possibly even trying to add Ist degree murder to the inevitable manslaughter charges because our illustrious PM has said that you don’t have any right to defend yourself in this country and he appointed most of the Supreme Court without review.
One of the possibe answers is that “I prepared to aim and fire as carefully as I could so as to minimize the chance of an errant round” but the case was prejudged mong before you got to the courtroom.
On a related note from today’s news…
Once upon a time there used to be a minimum sentence for the crime of ‘child luring’, coercing or encouraging a minor with the intent of sexual assaulting them or producing childporn…a whole year on indictment !! or six months if a summary conviction. That was just ruled to be ‘excessive and unconstitutional’ by a SC composed almost entirely of liebral appointees.
We HAD a nice country…for awhile…that ended eight years ago, and with these ‘justices’ serving to age 75 and their rulings being unquestionable, it’ll be a long time before we get it back.
