Reading the article, the millennial dude is from Toronto. Most Canadians don’t consider Toronto to be part of Canuckistan. Toronto is to Canada as NYC is to the USA… a blighted city filled with self-important idiots with communist tendencies… a good place to avoid, so to speak.
I moved to Toronto at age 17 to go to tech college; the novelty wore off quickly. What a waste of good lakefront real estate!! As soon as I could manage it, I left it behind and never looked back.
Canadians moved to Florida to wait out the medical delays up North. Canadian medical care is “cheap”, but you still pay the price (if you survive long enough). Lots of “snow birds” down in Florida.
