Didn’t all the despots call their rule a democracy?

Shouldn’t that be “democrisy”? After all “their” democracy is a blend of actual democracy and hypocrisy, hence “democrisy”.

When Dems screech about “democracy”, substitute the word “bureaucracy” and you’ll understand who they’re trying to protect.

I’ll give you one. Lawfare by federal judges is probably even worse. But the POTUS doesn’t run the federal courts does he? He does appoint the replacements. Each day seems less cloudy than the one before.

The Founders both hated and feared “democracy”, thinking (correctly) that it was a fancy name for mob rule. That’s why they gave us a republic. Paraphrasing Ben Franklin, “If we can keep it.”

Just to throw this out there. Every dictator loves freedom to do what they want.

Afro Americans always were mindful of being in the minority and it was because as democrats they knew they had no rights because they were always outvoted.

The chief difference between democrats and MAGA these days is the dems love power as politicians and the MAGA people believe in being public servants.

The corruption in government has been caused by obama and the clintons. Obama caused the unrest and dishevel and no one was watching what the other hand was doing. Unrest by obama and the money laundering by the clintons.

Sanders and AOC are doing the classic projection by blaming Trump and Musk for what they themselves are doing.

Blaming corruption on particular people is always a mistake.
The fact is corruption is built into human nature and must be diligently sought out and thoroughly dealt with because of its perpetual onslaught.
The ancient Greeks tried to convey this in their Creation Myth about humans.
Prometheus found he couldn’t make the parts left over from his creation of other life able to survive on its own. So he stole fire from the Gods and gave that to Man.
Fire in this case wasn’t just combustion. It was an explanation of how Man survives and prospers. While other creatures may adapt themselves to exploit their environment, Man changes the environment itself to suit himself, thus the metaphor of Fire.
This is something the Founders and Framers recognized and tried to plan for, and is the reason no Socialist scheme can long endure, no matter how many innocents are sacrificed on the alter of “equity”.

“Some argue that we are a democracy. Others say we are a republic. The fact is that we are a republic as clearly defined in our Constitution. It does not entertain democratic rule, but rather the election of leaders who are granted the power by us to rule. When people elect representatives, it’s called a republic. Yet how often do you hear gasbag politicians wax on about “protecting our democracy.” They’re factually wrong. If they wanted to be factual, they would say, “we must protect the republic.” I guess many of them missed the history lesson concerning the Grand Army of the Republic, the title given to the Union Army veterans who, well, saved the Republic. Facts are stubborn things indeed.” Scott Lingamfelter

“Democracy” has become the new pseudonym of “progressivism”, which is the misnomer of “socialism”, “Marxism”, and “Leninism”. It is, in reality
“statism” : concentration of economic controls and planning in the hands of a highly centralized government often extending to government ownership of industry.
I suppose when you are too embarrassed by your own ideology, you’ll call it anything to obfuscate what it truly is. Recall this, the next time you encounter the phrase “our democracy”, or the claim of being “progressive”.

      Once again:
“Political tags — such as royalist, communist, democrat, populist, fascist, liberal, conservative, and so forth — are never basic criteria. The human race divides politically into those who want people to be controlled and those who have no such desire. The former are idealists acting from highest motives for the greatest good of the greatest number. The latter are surly curmudgeons, suspicious and lacking in altruism. But they are more comfortable neighbors than the other sort.”

“If the natural tendencies of mankind are so bad that it is not safe to permit people to be free, how is it that the tendencies of these organizers are always good? Do not the legislators and their appointed agents also belong to the human race? Or do they believe that they themselves are made of a finer clay than the rest of mankind?”

Meanwhile in Beijing East, the liebral gov’t has started freezing the bank accounts of troublesome opponents as part of the ‘election’.

How does this make sense?? The feds invoked the Emergency Act (unlawfully according to a federal judge) to freeze bank accounts during the Freedom Convoy. If this is legit, it should be the headline in every newspaper in the land but since the Liberals “own” the Mockingbird Media, I’ve not see a hint of this.

and you won’t, not after the latest round of handouts to the media for reporting the news ‘properly’ and the promise of even more cash for the cbc and the other bought-and-paid-for outlets like ctv and the torstar

The bright spot is that over 30 of the g=biggest names in industry PLUS some major trade unions came out in suopport of Poilivere, unlikely bedfellows but there it is.

Poilivere might be another politician in the end, but he’s got a personal grudge against cbc et al now and if he’s elected it doesn’t look good for them.

The brightest ray of sunshine is that the one person who could have stopped all this months or even years ago, isn’t expected to win his own riding, but at least he hung on long enough to get his politician’s pension and that’s all that really matters…to him. It’s not enough that he’s already a multi-millionaire corporate lawyer, he has to get every cent he can from the taxpayer because for his kind it isn’t the having, it’s the getting, and he felt ‘entitled to his entitlements’.
