He’s not pulling the trigger at the time so who knows. I am cross eyed dominate but have never had a problem shooting rifles. I just squint a little.
Handguns are a different thing and I had to teach myself to keep my eyes open to see the recoil and the recovery. At one time I even saw the brass eject out of my peripheral. The grip lets me see everything. If I see, I hit. If I don’t, I miss. Simple but not easy.
I was thinking the same thing. At least in Hugo’s case. Not so sure about Eva yet. Her play for sympathy didn’t work on Sam but Eva still took the shot.
“Imagine, if you will, a world of dudes crapping on sidewalks, stupid face diapers, and everyone’s a Non-Player Character drone? You’ve entered Planet Dumbass.”
Planet Dumbass. No wonder so many on the left have problems with the fundamentals of XXs and XYs, or that Tab D is supposed to be inserted into Slot C.
Critiquing his shooting style? Please… The youngster fired twice, putting one in the 9 ring, and the next in the ten. I wish either of my eyes could still do that, He ought to use whatever he’s comfortable with because it works for him. The good news is he sees society as clearly as he sees a target! Grandad raised him right.
I read the bit about the “anti colonialism” he’s referring to for D&D. It’s sad that a hobby that was a big part of my childhood has been colonized by locusts who don’t play the game and have no real interest in it.
Beautiful thing is the old books are still completely usable.
My late wife was the ultimate example of the t-shirt ” when the GM smiles it’s too late ” but unfortunately time has weeded the old gaming group down to a handful of the newcomers that joined the friend group 20ish years ago and me as the last man standing of the original group.
There’s not a lot positive to be said about losing friends but at least one good thing is most of them did live to see the wokust destroy our beloved franchises and interests.

Same here, but I didn’t discover the joys of RPGs until college after I Separated.
I guess it’s a sad commentary of my life that some of my best times were had in the comradery of beer, pizza, and wild imaginations on Thursday nights.
I got a lot of cred just by showing the youngsters the principles of applied firepower, even if it came in the form of crossbow and lightning bolts.
When it comes to bolt actions, I prefer the Lee-Enfield, the bolt throw is short enough that you can cycle it without moving your head since the locking lugs are at the rear and that makes rapid fire a breeze. The lugs also cam the bolt back for primary extraction when you lift the handle plus the cock-on-closing makes it a lot faster and smoother than just about anything else I’ve ever tried. Some people say it has a ‘wandering zero’ but I’ve never seen that and it seems to be associated mostly with the No 5 which I’ve only shot a couple of times and didn’t really like for other reasons. I’ve gotten 1.5″ groups at 300 metres off the bags with handloads and no zeroing issues at all.
The Rifle No. 5 or “Jungle Carbine” had a wandering zero due to a bad bedding system, endemic to the entire production. In service, it had the nicknames “Bell-Mouthed Bastard” and “Blunderbuss” for that reason.
Other than that, I never noticed that either SMLEs or Rifle No. 4s were significantly less accurate than Kar98s, and I shot them side-by-side for nearly thirty years. The Enfields were definitely superior in rapid fire, aimed or otherwise, due to that slick bolt action.
And in an actual rifle fight, ten rounds without reloading beats five every time.
Eon–During the Great War, USA had the best target rifle–Germany had the best hunting rifle–but Britain had the best battle rifle. I have a No.1 Mk III (1918 BSA) and once you cast bullets to fit (.316″ dia.) it will print 1.5-2.0 MOA to 300 meters all day long.

Isn’t there a… GYM… by that name?
Planet Dumbass… sounds like a line Red Forman would use, repeatedly.
Right hand on the trigger, left eye looking through the scope?
That’s what I do. I’m right handed, but left eye dominant, and a lot of people have similar asymmetry.
A yup; wife shoots L eye too and much better at 6.5 Creedmore in the modified M4 than me
Correction: That’s how I shoot a handgun, But, yeah, it’s too awkward with a long gun, so Left Eye, Left Shoulder.
Why bolt-actions and I just don’t get along.

That might be a parallax view of Hugo’s face. Lots of eye relief from the scope with the right eye and the left seems to squint
The boy is cross dominant. Takes adjustments when a shooter like that, but it typically produces a better Shooter
Hugo and Eva obviously reached adulthood before Skye.
Hanging around Carl (“They’ll live”) probably didn’t hurt either.

Looks like the eye relief on that scope is measured in feet- – – -my grandkids had better form behind a rifle before they started grade school!
Scout scope. Long eye relief.
Besides allowing stripper-clip loading, on a heavy-caliber rifle it’s still the only sure preventative for Kaibab Eye.

Ah, the memories. Earned my Master rating in NRA Highpower Rifle back in 1990.

It seems Hugo has his head on straight…the Dude is a DUDE! Thank Yahweh for Don Portego, taking the boy’s instruction in hand!

Yep when real life “wokeism” begins encroaching into what is supposed to be a fun “fantasy” based activity we know we’re in trouble.
