        Not necessarily why; they’re discussing how the birds get across the road.

      Or iranian drones…unless they’re trying to ‘fit in’.
      But it would be just like a clandestine agency operating under the cover of darkness to add them because somebody read a regulation and decided they had to follow it. that’s the same sort that gives you ‘over the horizon’ weapons then inists you have to visually identify the target before firing them.

        People have a bad habit of attributing to everyone in a given area the attributes that the majority vote for. There are many, many good people in blue states who suffer from having their rights violated (not lost, it’s important to note) by the leftist majority. We shouldn’t then say that those good folks deserve or implicitly support the left by saying, for example, “New York doesn’t care about people affected by Helene.”

        New York is not a collective with one mind. Nowhere is. People are individuals.

        If you look at any states electoral map by county or parish, I’d bet real money the vast majority of ‘acreage’ is red, and the only blue are the population centers, i.e. the cities.
        That’ll fuck us up, eventually.

        I like what they said about New York in the original film version of “1776”

        Have you ever been present at a meeting of the New York legislature? They speak very fast and very loud and nobody pays any attention to anybody else, with the result that nothing ever gets done.

    The drone swarms appear to be a ploy to get HR 8610 passed. At first glance, it’s a frame work for allowing the government to create a program for mitigating potentially harmful drones, but is a guise for widely expanding the surveillance state. It specifically allows for government agencies to monitor and store ANY methods that could potentially be used to control a drone, including cell phone communications and no warrant requirements for what are basically dragnet wiretaps on all cellular comms.

    @300 RE Crosshatchs
    These are contrails that form perfect, widely spaced squares in the sky.
    Interestingly, said the individual contrails also have the intermittent puff characteristic too.
    I always attributed the latter to some kind of pulse-jet tech, which would, like the old V1 “buzz bomb” be very cheap to build but would also be fuel hogs.
    With 3D printing techniques these would make hella cheap cruise missiles.

      If there are “puff” contrails, the chances are that those are cold vapor trails from the liquid nitrogen in the HPGe (High Purity Germanium) radiation detectors that Zed mentioned. Said detectors only function at cryogenic temperatures, so LN2 at its boiling point (about 85 Kelvin) is needed as a coolant.
      The perfect grid pattern is because they’re looking for the missing radioactives.

    I assume there are iranian ships loaded with all sorts of things from arms and ammunition for the ‘immigrants’ to nukes sitting parked in every major port and have been there for quite some time, hence ‘bama and byethen’s bending over for the mullahs at every opportunity.

    There’s a chance that the drones are being operated by some alphabet agency under a compartmentalized program that even the congresscritters and the Presidential office aren’t on the access list to, and they could very well be conducting a search. Or, it could be the exact opposite and they’re from that iranian drone carrier, that ‘disappeared’ after leaving port last month, overflying military and utilities infrastructure scouting for targets that can be easily crippled by a small strike in a vulnerable area like a critical substation, radar or even armoury doors.

    Still, it’s funny how this happens in the leadup to Trump’s inauguration…
